The Redskins honored the late Sean Taylor by placing him in their Ring of Fame prior to yesterday's loss to the Giants. Sean's dad, Pedro Taylor, spoke to the crowd. As did Joe Gibbs, who made his first appearance at FedEx Field since retiring last January. Sean's daughter, Jackie, was held in the arms of her mother Jackie Garcia as a video of Sean's days in high school, the University of Miami, and the Redskins played.
It all ended when Clinton Portis, one of Taylor's best friends, ran onto the field carrying a flag with Taylor's No. 21 on it.
After the jump, catch the second part of the ceremony.
You are a low life, Taylor was probably close to becoming the best safety of all time. He was amazing, hence being called the protypical safety. Get a life pal, how badly can you disrespect someone. It was unfair for some punks to steal away someone's life, like they did Taylor's. I class you with those that made that tragic mistake. You are a grungy, trashy, classless, low-life.
Honored for being murdered? really? How dumb are you? He was honored for the person he was, the people that were close to him (his teammates, family, fans, etc.). The Redskins community is not the only one paying tribute to him, ask some of the best players in the league whether he should be in the ring; Shockey, Ray Lewis, Gibbs, Ryan Clark, The rookie safety for the Giants who chose #21 in S.T.'s honor. Jimbo.... Your f*ck*ng stupid.
George Michael said during the tribute that the skins would honor Taylor by the way they played this game today. I looked to the guy next to me and said that I hoped Taylor liked 3 and outs. And thats what he got. I think an underlying reason to have the tribute was so that they can take down the huge taylor memorial sign already in place and use it for advertising space without looking like creeps.
