If you were fired up for this rivalry game, well, I give you credit. The Raiders and Chiefs entered Sunday's game with a combined four wins on the season, and the play, as you would you expect, reflected that lofty win total, as the Chiefs pulled out a 20-13 win. The biggest highlight reel play of the day was the Raiders hilarious attempt of a fake field goal, which resulted in Shane Lechler lateraling the ball to, uh, nobody, while Chiefs rookie Maurice Leggett (Valdosta State, representing) picked it up and raced 67 yards for a touchdown.
Other than that? Not much else took place.
A week after throwing only one incomplete pass, the good news for JaMarcus Russell is he completed the same number of passes. The bad news is, he did so on 28 attempts, as opposed to the 11 he threw a week ago. Even more incredible, for the fifth consecutive game, the Raiders again only had one wide receiver catch a pass, as Ronald Curry hauled in one pass for a whopping zero yards. That was it for Raiders receivers. One catch. Zero yards.
Tight end Zach Miller finished with a team-high five receptions for 79 yards, while Darren McFadden hauled in three passes for 50 yards.
The Raiders did manage to get their ground game, sort of, as Justin Fargas finished with 82 yards on 18 carries, and Russell managed to scramble for 37 yards on two rushing attempts.
On the Kansas City of the ball, Tony Gonzalez had a huge game, catching a game-high eight passes for 110 yards, while Larry Johnson rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.
Random fact on the AFC West: including the division-leading Broncos, the four teams have a combined record of 16-31. Wow.

Where are all the Raiders fans who last week thought they were heading to the playoffs? You "people" need a reality check. Much like Gerrard Warren who thought if the raiders win out they would be in the playoffs. This from a team who at that point had won three games in eleven tries. WIN OUT! What is this guy smoking? Perhaps you and Chefs fans should look at how the Lions fans conduct themselves. Your teams are just about equal. Yet, if the Lions were to win a game this year I'll bet their fans wouldn't be planning trips to Florida. And thanks Adam for pointing out the fact that the division is terrible. Yet, the team that has lost more players than the other three combined is the only team with a winning record. (Think Al Davis wished he still had Shanny?) Actually, I really didn't think we'd hear from raiders fans. But damn, the chefs won and I thought all the Hermies would be excited. Well good luck the the three wonderful teams at the bottom. I know one of you will be playing the lions in the toilet bowl.
