NFL Fines: $15K for Matt Light Hair Pulling, Channing Crowder for Getting Hair Pulled

Patriots offensive lineman Matt Light and Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder both got ejected for this altercation, in which Light pulled Crowder's hair:

Now they've both been fined $15,000 -- but not suspended -- for their actions, Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting (via PFT).

So, basically, pulling someone's hair and getting your hair pulled are equally punishable offenses, according to the NFL. I'm having a hard time understanding how Light -- who also threw punches in addition to pulling hair -- didn't also get suspended.

Of course, Joey Porter will continue to talk trash and emerge unscathed. Some things never change.

SO WHEN THE GOING TO MAKE IT OFFICIALLY 2 HAND TOUCH IN NFL LIGHT SHOULD BE FINED AND SUSPENDED CROWDER SHOULD HAVE SMALLER FINE FOR HIS RETELATION NFL = NO FUN LEAGUE

If the hair covers the players name on his back, then cut it. Some of these guys look like they might be working for GEICO insurance.

I can't say the NFL earns the benefit of the doubt when it comes to fines... but between a) Light instantly beating him up, b) the refs ejecting Crowder on the spot, and c) the league fining them equal amounts, is that not a gigantic pile of circumstantial evidence against Crowder? No way in hell Crowder didn't do something to merit everything that happened.

To the eye, it was the kind of unprovoked beatdown that the NFL loves to punish. But given that they did not, that stands to me as proof that Crowder is neither innocent nor undeserving. No way.

Matt Light should have been paid not fined for hitting that panzy, Double payment for Porter. Maybe if he didn't have those girlie locks flowing from his head they wouldn't have gotten pulled. Run little girl Channing run, take your beating like a man dont run to the sidelines for help.

So it looks like the only major fists were thown by the patriots lineman. He should be the only one suspended. I know if he was on the street in the hood he would have gotten his ass beat for pullin a brothas' dreads! Once again the New England Patriots are involved in something and once again they get the benefit of the doubt! hhhhhmmmmm
