San Francisco threw a few nice punches early in this game but failed to connect with a combo punch. Big pass plays put the Niners in the redzone but all they could do once they got there were a few field goals.
Then the second quarter started and the bottom fell out. A 75-yard touchdown catch and run by Terrell Owens gave Dallas the lead and a blocked punt for safety highlighted a 22-0 run before the half.
Dallas would win, 35-22.
Offensively, this is what the Cowboys were supposed to be all year. Tony Romo threw for 341 yards and three TDs. Terrell Owens caught seven passes for 213 yards (career second best to his 283-yard game as a member of the 49ers in 2000). Dallas was an amazing 9-of-18 on third downs.
The defense still isn't totally there as the Niners had some huge passing plays early on. However, Dallas shut down Frank Gore to just 26 yards on the ground.
The Niners will be a member of the AFC East for the next three weeks as they face the Bills, Jets and Dolphins.
Dallas has their typical short week to play the Thanksgiving game against Seattle. After that comes some meat to the schedule. We certainly will get to find out if the Cowboys are legit when they travel to Pittsburgh, host the NY Giants and Baltimore (in what will most likely be the final game in Texas Stadium) and at Philadelphia.
The Cowboys stay in a tie with the Redskins and Falcons for the final playoff spot.

Ahhh.... the struggling Cowboys. A game that was won, but could have been very different if played a much better team. For example, 1st pos. still trying for the bigger play first instead of getting a few more yards for a FGA assurance. Penalties!!!!! Shouldn't happen on a good team. Special teams, c'mon, both sides. Overall, defense made a lot of plays to help the offense, and the offense helped to keep the defense rested, however, the both looked a little sloppy in the last 1/3 of game. Romo, that int throw should have gone to the ground, not too viable situation Choice was in. FG kicker did pretty good. MB okay, not great today. Romo, hope that the accuracy and zip comes back before the REALLY tough games come. If not, better get better with the dinks and dunks to ALL receivers including the backs. Happy to see Roy W finally catching some balls. On better opponents, those long drives by SF would equal to 7pts. instead of 3. Watch out, stiffen up, and be ready to play smart and hard for every game coming. One loss will put you in a very very uncomfortable situation. You have played around long enough and have paid big prices for the lack of focus (that Arizona game was rock bottom and resulted in big costs). Time to be men. I like Romo's stepping up into the pocket and the new philosophy in play calling. It looks like there is starting to get more depth with fast high percentage plays. Be adaptable and smart. Did you guys punt on 4th and 1.5'? IDK, I think you should have tried to keep the clock rolling. I think that MB could have gave you 1.5 feet.
In any case, a win is a win, but we all know that SF is not to the caliber of the teams to come. Keep moving forward and keep in mind that you have a banged up team. Smarts and adaptability will have a big part in your guys success or failure. Good luck, I will be praying/cheering.

I wouldn't get so giddy about beating the 49ers when your "star" couldn't get separation without using his hands and running over CBs.

Hey nunya, you not only have sand in your coochie but rocks in your head. You beat a 3-8 piece of shi# team and you think the Cowgirls are the greatest team ever. Wait until your Cowgirls don't make the playoffs and see who's crying? Maybe we can see T.O. (Touchy Orafice) cry over Tony Homo this year like last year. I wonder which one drops the soap in the shower? And when are they going to start fining and suspending referees for all of their crappy calls and noncalls this year!

Look, the Cowboys played the 49ers and beat them pretty decisively. The Cowboys were up 29-9 early in the 4th quarter before they went into their prevent defense and gave up some long, time consuming drives to San Francisco that resulted in some cosmetic points for the 49ers. The Boys' did what they were supposed to do, which was beat a team that was not as good as them.
@ Ethan and salrojas28:
How old are you guys exactly? You cant spell and resort to mocking the Cowboys players by changing their names? Jesus...
