Chad Javon Ocho Cinco is back with the Bengals after being deactivated for Thursday night's Steelers contest because of a severe case of drowsiness. And while I'm sure Ryan Fitzpatrick will happily welcome his return, when you're staring at 1-9-1, it doesn't much matter who you trot out there for the next five weeks.
The real issue, however, is what will the organization do with Mr. Cinco after the season? Common sense might dictate running his ass out of town and getting whatever you can for him. Of course, the Bengals could've had a first-round pick (or two, depending on who you believe) from the Redskins last summer, but they weren't willing to deal. In retrospect, yeah, they probably should have.
But according to CBS' Charley Casserly, the plan -- as of right now, anyway -- is to keep Johnson in Cincy for 2009, too. It seems like an insane notion given all the trouble he's caused in recent seasons, but nobody's ever accused the Bengals of being smart.
Enrico wrote about it at the time, but Casserly also mentioned Ocho Cinco's antics from last Sunday's Eagles-Bengals pregame. Johnson jumped in line with the Philly wideouts, caught a slant pass from Donovan McNabb, and promptly dropped to his knees with arms extended skyward. According to Casserly, Johnson told McNabb that he wanted to talk to his general manager, presumably to lay the groundwork for an offseason trade.
It shouldn't need repeating, but here goes: Johnson doesn't sound like somebody who wants to be in Cincy. Call it a hunch. But with T.J. Houshmandzadeh wanting a new deal, and rookies Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell not doing much of anything, somebody has to be able to catch passes. I'm hoping the Bengals send Johnson to Philly after McNabb has moved on. It somehow seems fitting.

Bengals organization is a complete trainwreck , I know this falls under blah, blah, blah but mike brown needs to hire a GM that will clean house completely A) Fire marvin lewis and his staff ,he has completely lost control of this team , any coach worth his pay would trade chad his act is so completely old it's riddiclous. B) keep T'J he's one of the best WR'S in the NFL and hold on to the young talent , the talent is there but it needs the right coaches to develop it

Chads a great WR he's just frustrated playing for a franchise that sucks and isn't gone anywhere, kinda like Randy Moss Oakland days...Bengals need to just let him go while they can get some value and get him outta town...Mike Brown has run their franchise into the ground and needs to wake up and hire a GM.

chad is a great reciever no doubt about it and it is hard to play ball when youre losing. imean look at randy moss and warren sapp when they played in oakland-just plain terrible. i do think it is time for marvin to leave. this is a "what have you done for me lately?" league and 2005 is far gone. the bengals need an agressive coach. marvin was overrated-baltimores players made that defense dominant not him-if it had anything to do with marvin they wouldnt be so dominant now dont you think? they didnt lose a step without marvin. the offensive coordinator bratkowski is so predictable with his playcalling. and why do we always take reserve linebackers and try to make them starters on our team. imean you bring in linebackers that get released from teams like arizona-are you kidding? then they come here and are starters. what a joke? dhani jones good player but he does not deserve to be a starting linebacker in the nfl. imean didnt he get released from the saints-jesus-go out and get some big name players and quit bringing these rejects here like were gonna find some diamond in the ruff or something. trust me-aint gonna happen. chris henry came back-that was stupid, and if you think about it the only draft pick that marvins made thats made any impact was carson palmer and at the time that pick was a no-brainer. odell thurman gone-david pollick- gone(unfortunately) chris perry-GARBAGE!!-chris henry-idiot, keith rivers-overrated-then you go out and draft two freakin wide recievers when youre defense has been pitiful year end and year out-WOW! O and get this, the new receivers dont even get to play-what a joke. then they tell you all this crap about learning this system, did we forget that this is FOOTBALL?! jesus these coaches act like its brain surgery or something and i could understand if you had a coach like mike singletary who's been to 10-count'em-10 freakin pro bowls yellin bout a system and knows how to win ON THE FIELD-but when you got coaches that never even stepped ON THE FIELD or lasted or started ON THE FIELD trying to teach a system and tell players who probably know more about PLAYING and WINNING than they'd ever know. bratkowski needs to be fired and so does marvin lewis. imean at first was happy because we got better and plus it was cool to have a black coach in cincinnati-now, screw that i want to win. and people say o well its not marvins fault-whatever-if he coached any other team besides the detroit lions he'd have been fired a long time ago, so i dont want to here it. his non chalant attitude annoys me. im not in the locker room but his press conferences suck! i dont feel motivated at all listening to him talk and it obvious the players dont either.

I heard the grounds keepers were very disappointed that Ocho Stinko" didn't play against the Steelers on Nov22nd. They figured to get their year end bonuses on picking up his gold teeth. Go Bungles!!!
