The Buffalo Bills, in case you didn't catch Monday night's game against the Cleveland Browns, are in the middle of a meltdown. They started the season 4-1, were staring down a very easy schedule, and had blossoming young offensive talents in Trent Edwards and Marshawn Lynch.Lynch showed up Monday, for sure, but it's tough not to say that had Edwards not thrown three picks in the first quarter that this game probably would have ended differently. And so, naturally, there are many things being discussed and a lot of innuendo being slung around in Buffalo.
"I would say that for a young quarterback, it's got to affect you when things start to slide a little bit and go downhill," said [Dick] Jauron. "I think that the guy is a terrific player, I think he's just going to get better and better as we move on.Well, that's an understatement (not to mention a totally unwarranted shot at a pretty darn good kicker stuffed into a shoddy situation). Also, in fairness, Jauron is standing behind Edwards. But the fact remains that the kid looked just awful against a Browns defense that he should have been able to shred.
"I was just doing what they told me to do," said Edwards. "That's well within his range, and to be perfectly honest, though, we shouldn't have been in that position to begin with. We should've been putting more points on the board and not having it come down to that situation, but that's the way it happened and that's the nature of the game.
And another fact remains is that Buffalo was in a similar situation last year when Edwards finally grabbed the reigns from J.P. Losman and really took control of this team.
Edwards has the arm and the smarts to develop and might right the ship eventually and could definitely turn out to be a great quarterback, but when you start hearing things like this little semi back and forth, well, it seems a lot less likely that any transformation is going to happen this season. Or that the Bills will put on the air brakes.

The reason the Bills are behind their quarterback is because this guy DOES have talent. He is young and he has alot to learn - how profound????? So does Brady Quinn or any young quarterback for that matter. The writer of this article has no idea what a good sport Trent Edwards is...............he constantly compliments his teammates and he always blames himself for his mistakes. He is a very humble guy. JP Losman had his chance to prove to the Buffalo Bills his worth - he is a decent quarterback but in my estimation he's not quite as good as Trent Edwards! Only time will tell, but the Bills have great potential and talent - I personally think they need some new coaches. The offensive coordinator makes some strange calls - 3 and 1 and you let a stuggling quaterback pass the ball and don't hand the ball to Beast Mode (who is playing one of his best games!!!!!!!)????????? Whatever........

Edwards definately has the talent he's just a mental case right now. And who gets paid the big bucks to fix that? Coaches. Who makes the calls on the field? Coaches.
When they hired this guy they had the option of taking Mike Sherman. At the time the comparison was made that Sherman had made the playoffs in 4 of 5 years while Jauron only 1 of 4. Hmmm.
Of course Sherman would have cost more so ....

Jauron is the worst coach in the NFL. He stands there with that stupid look on his face- no clock management, can't make a decision....!! How about throwing the challenge flag too late two games ago? Cost his team a "W".
The guy is indecisive and fails at what a head coach is supposed to be doing during agame- MAKING DECISIONS. Jauron gives the deer-in-headlights look for 60 minutes while his talent-laden team makes mistake after mistake. Get rid of him. A good coach would have the Bills at 7-2.

LOL, Bills 7-2?!?? Puhlease!! Take off the Blue & Red tinted glasses and slowly step away from the keyboard before you say something even more ignorant.
I give props to Bills fans, you guys are a loyal bunch, and you've got yourself a good team this year. But how can you POSSIBLY blame the coaches for this one?
Edwards threw THREE INTERCEPTIONS IN THE FIRST FRIGGIN QUARTER. Welcome to the world of young QB's. Sometimes they are going to have games like that. Edwards is a good one though, he'll bounce back, especially with a good coach like Jauron helping him out.
So how about you Billy-boys stop with the freaking out and appreciate that you at least have a solid team who will take out their frustrations this weekend and spank the crap out of old 1-9 Kansas "we can't win a game" City.
You lose to KC...well, then you can start bitching.

Hey Ralph, you may have some dust on your feeble knees from your position licking Jauron's boots, but anyone who knows pro football can see you do not have a clue about the game.
Young QB? Duh, is Matt Rya young? He was 7-4 going in today. Joe Flacco? Duh, gee Ralphie, is that the best you have- that Jauron is a great coach and Edwards is young? LOL
You're the loser, llitte man. Go ask Daddy if you can continue to write on these BBs.
