As you may have read here at the 'House, Jared Allen may be facing a suspension for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Well, if Allen is facing a suspension for his hit, than the NFL will likely have to sentence Ray Edwards to the jail time for his hit on Bucs quarterback Jeff Garcia.Garcia scrambled to his right and threw an incomplete pass in the second quarter against the Vikes today. Three steps after he let loose the pass, Edwards, coming from Garcia's blind side, stuck his helmet directly in Garcia's right earhole. Amazingly, Garcia got up, after writhing in pain, and stayed in the game.
There have been a lot of bogus fines on NFL defensive linemen and linebackers for simply sacking quarterbacks as they are supposed to, but, in Edwards' case, it's hard to think he'll have any defense if the NFL takes a hefty bite of his next paycheck.

Quit crying, Eddie Munster. Tampa Bay won the game you sniveling infant. Football is a violent sport, if you ever played the game you would know this. Being a soccer mom your girlish opinions are invalid. Go watch some nascar, lady-hips.

That was an atrocious cheap shot which occurred 3 to 4 seconds after Garcia had let the ball go ; that guy should've been ejected from the game. He should be heavily fined and suspended by the League. He could have killed or paralyzed Jeff by going for the blind side of his skull.

"Quit crying, TB won the game..." Who cares? A egregiously late helmet to helmet cheap shot that could've left someone paralyzed for life is not negated by a win. Your argument that football is a violent sport is invalidated by the fact that the hit was terribly late and and totally unnecessary.
If the hit happened while the ball was still in Garcia's hand your argument may be valid. However, when Ray Edwards hits Garcia in the helmet 3 steps after the ball is thrown and after seconds have passed, then he's just an ass who takes cheap shots at the QB. He should've been ejected and he will be fined.

Vikings Fan says that was ridiculous. Ray didn't even have his hands up to tackle him if he was so looking for a sack. That's a joke on how a guy won't accept responsibility for his act......should of bee fined and suspended. Then he probably wouldn't lead the league in sacks like he said he would.
