Former defensive tackle Warren Sapp has never been at a loss for words, especially when Al Davis and the Oakland Raiders are the topic of discussion. If you'll recall, earlier this season Sapp fired his first shot at his former team when he told us that, pretty much, they were going to suck. A few weeks later, when the Davis vs. Lane Kiffin saga was just about to hit its peak, Sapp reminded the 80-something-year-old Raiders owner that Cliff Branch wasn't ready to step out onto the field and haul in bombs from Jim Plunkett. Beyond that, he's also voiced his displeasure for the Dolphins' wildcat offense, and informed the football-watching public that he isn't exactly a fan of Keyshawn Johnson.
Who's next on Sapp's agenda? Starting left tackle Kwame Harris, naturally. From Mike Florio at PFT, quoting Sapp on his WQAM radio spot in Miami:
"If the Dolphins come out, get Porter talking and going crazy; get on the quarterback because that left tackle couldn't block my little girl," Sapp said. "I watched the tape. The guy couldn't block Mercedes Sapp. I promise you he couldn't. She takes him to the house."
First things first: we don't have to worry about Joey Porter talking. He's going to talk, and he's going to talk a lot. That's why we love him. Also, just because it's worth mentioning, he's already set a new career-high with 12 sacks (with still seven games to play) and is currently leading the NFL. Seriously ... nobody saw that coming. Nobody.
As for Mercedes Sapp ... through nine games of the 2008 season, she's only registered two fewer sacks than her dad picked up during his final season in Oakland. I'm just saying.

Any "sane" person knows that the Raiders are a mediocre team that have been patsies for the past few years. The "Raider Nation" are die-hard losers. I don't see any changes that will make this team a winner. Al Davis is a precocious nut-case; as are the any Raider Faithful. "Bottom Of The Barrel" football organization.
Players on the team make millions for mediocre play. The regular guy (or gal) will get a good or great performance review and then a miniscule raise. Where else in the world do you get advanced pay in the million for lousy (or untested) work? Only in sports.
