Mike Nolan Says 49ers Have No One to Blame But Themselves for Monday Night Loss

In the hours following the Cardinals win over San Francisco on Monday night, we were all trying to figure out why the 49ers were running the ball from the three-yard line -- with their backup running back -- on the final play of the game.

At the time, it seemed like a perfectly legitimate question, and, naturally, 49ers offensive coordinator offered us a not-so-legitimate answer -- it was the refs fault.

Former 49ers head coach Mike Nolan -- who is always wearing his pants, by the way -- wasn't interested in hearing any of that nonsense. From PFT:
"It's unfortunate the way it came down for them, but you really have no one to blame it on but yourself. You can't start pointing fingers everyplace else. You have to be ready for that stuff because you do practice it, and the Niners do practice it. When it happens like that you're going to take criticism as we all do."
No argument here.

Nolan also admitted that he was, sort of, pulling for the Niners and was screaming at the TV (I imagine he was screaming), "Make sure you know exactly where that ball is."

Obviously, they didn't know. Which led to Michael Robinson running into a pile of humanity two yards shy of the goal-line as the click hit triple-zero's.
