(Via PFT)The Arizona Cardinals are prepping their season ticket holders on how to get their hands on playoff tickets. This happens from time to time around most NFL cities but it has never happened in Arizona.
The Cardinals have never played a playoff game in Arizona. They never even played a playoff game in St. Louis, their home from 1960-1987. The last and only playoff game the Cardinals hosted was in Chicago's Comiskey Park in 1947. The Chicago Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Eagles, 28-21, for the NFL Championship.
It is all but certain that Arizona will host its first Cardinals playoff game (Arizona has been the site for a couple Super Bowls). The Cards currently own a four-game lead in the NFC West with seven games remaining and all division winners get to host at least one playoff game.
Four of their last seven games are at home. Arizona gets St. Louis (2-7) again and Seattle (2-7) twice. They also have to face the Giants, Eagles, Vikings and Patriots.
Three more wins and the Cardinals clinch their first winning season since 1998. Four more wins and they clinch their first division title since 1975.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that this is against the norm.

I'm happy for Arizona. I was getting sick of the overrated Seahawks running away with the division year after year.
I'm not sure they'll make it very far, however. Chances are, if they don't make their record REALLY good, they'll have to come to their first game in the stadium of an NFC East or NFC South opponent. Those guys simply have tougher skin than the NFC West because they're tried by fire week in, week out. As opposed to that, there's no one that can really offer the Cardinals a fight right now in their own division. Besides...Western teams never do that great when they have to come east.

I can remember the last play-offs I attended was in 1985 Chicago Bears with Mike Dicka and Mcmann & Payton. I Know the Cards are no 85 Bears team but, maybe a close second. The performance of yesterday's win shows the wisdom that Wisenhunt brings to the coaching staff and the team as a whole. Congrads Cardinals, and staff on a great season and hope to see a great end to the teams season, and possibly a Superbowl win.
