Inside the NFL spent three decades on HBO before moving to Showtime this fall. One of the show's new faces, Warren Sapp, called the HBO version of Inside "bland and boring," which caused former panelist Peter King's panties to predictably bunch.
Two months into his new teevee gig, Sapp hasn't exactly been a beacon of insight -- in fact, he's pretty much been useless -- but he did manage to malign Keyshawn Johnson during this week's show.
Via NFL.com's Adam Schefter:
In a special segment on this week's Inside The NFL, Warren Sapp answered viewer submitted questions during "Ask Warren Anything". Below are transcription highlights of the show. ...Sapp is referring to Johnson's upcoming project on A&E, although based on his comments, the Dog Whisperer also works.
(On whether he would ever watch Keyshawn Johnson's reality show about interior design)
SAPP: Me, watch Keyshawn on an interior decorating show? Keyshawn, I knew you were a bitch. And thanks for making it all clear.
It's not the first time the world's heaviest Dancing with the Stars participant has called out Johnson. Last month, Sapp, in talking about Brad Johnson temporarily taking over for Tony Romo in Dallas, said that "He's played with worse malcontents than T.O. He played with Keyshawn. Keyshawn was kicked off the team, away from us. Terrell Owens is a choirboy compared to Keyshawn. He'll get the ball and distribute it and they'll be fine."
Of course, Sapp was in the Bucs' locker room when Keyshawn wanted to beat the crap out of Jason Whitlock, too, so maybe he speaks from experience. Also, it's not like Sapp's the only NFL player who's been outspoken when it comes to Johnson.
Whatever, I eagerly await Keyshawn's rebuttal on ESPN's NFL Sunday Countdown. It'll undoubtedly add to the discourse you'd expect from two past-their-prime former athletes -- one now a dancer, the other an interior decorator -- embroiled in a name-calling contest.

Okay, I think that Warren Sapp is a straight-up hater; that is all there is to it! I personally admire Keyshawn for his ability to speak out and say whatever it is he has on his mind. I dont think Warren Sapp know him well enough to call him out of his name (not cool)!
I wish him and his new show much success!!

A man is known by his deeds, has anybody notice the influx of whining NFL wide recievers lately. Keyshawn has done some community work but Warren was calling him out on his off the field lifestyle at least thats the way I see it BTW sorry for that stint with the raiders Warren what a waste of time. The sooner they kick dirt on Al Davis the sooner the Raiders will return to winning form.

Warren over the first playoff weekend I've seen a lot of people wrong but I haven't seen anybody as wrong as you. My wife has never played fooltball and her picks are 100 percent better than your picks. You picked Atlanta to win and how wrong you were and you also said the Colts were gonna score a million points against the Chargers and you were wrong again. Peyton manning did nothing but throw balls at the grass so he didnt get sacked and as for the little five foot seven inch guy that you said couldn't pull his weight he ran 367 yards on the ground how wrong you were again Waren Sapp. I want to try and help you in your future I want you to remember one thing the most important thing i"anybody can beat anybody on any given day". So don't let your big ass override your big mouth next time do what your Grandpa told you to do. Listen and don't talk. Hopefully by doing this we will get to see you next year broadcasting sports and not managing a McDonalds.
