It's the most exciting Monday Night Football game of the season -- the 2-6 49ers travel to Arizona to square off against the division leading 5-3 Cardi-- Nope, there's absolutely no way to make this game sound interesting.
But because we're professionals here at FanHouse, and more importantly, because there's a slim chance Mike Singletary drops trou in the middle of the field to send a clear message to Vernon Davis that NOBODY IS BIGGER THAN THE TEAM (well, except pantsless coaches), we'll be here to document the atrocities as they unfold in real time.
Plus, if the Cards get up by 50, there's a small chance we'll see Matt Leinart. So there's that.
Either way, we'll be here and YOU'RE INVITED! Fun starts at 8:15-ish.

What makes me mad is when and "ex" quarterback talks about protecting the quarterback. Great. "Jaws" says that a quarterback has to stand in the pocket so they are protected when the guy is bareling down on him. BULL%&^*&! Thats the whole point of pressure, you have to get the pass away under pressure. If you DECIDE to throw the ball and not protect yourself, THAT IS A DECISION, NOT A RIGHT. You make the DECISION to stay in and throw the ball knowing you are going to get hit. Your other choice is to get down. Why penalize a defensive player for making a good play and a quarterback a bad decision of not protecting himself. I have no feeling for a guy that 100 years old with no mobility deciding because he is accurate and he has the pansy rules in his favor he can prolong his career knowing a defender has to pull up on him.
Ken W's penchant for bad coaching continues to go unpunished due to a great deal of luck and a tremondeously talented team.... How about that Denny Green holdover "Clancy P" again all the talent in the world and this guy can't coach pop warner.
I finally broke down and did something I last did when Howard Cosell was on MNF, which was to turn down the sound on my TV and substitute the radio broadcast, by Ian Eagle and Boomer Esiason. I just can't stand listening to Tony K on MNF; in fact, I much preferred Cosell (who was generally prepared, focused on the game, repeated himself only occasionally, and didn't do third-rate comic shtick. Please ESPN: dump Tony.
