All week we've been discussing how long Kyle Orton's high ankle sprain will keep him out, and how Rex Grossman will do with the Chicago Bears in his absence. According to Devin Hester, that may all be a moot point come Sunday. I talked to Kyle this morning and he said the process from yesterday to today was a lot better and if it continues like that he's going to push for this week. He said the process from yesterday to today he improved a lot so he's hoping if it continues to process like that throughout the rest of the week, he might take a shot.Well, let's be realistic. Orton is probably not going to start this week. Teammate to teammate, especially when you are competitive and the game is several days away, of course you are going to start saying things with optimism. You can't blame Orton for this, but it would be quite detrimental to the team if Orton went out on a less than 100 percent ankle and hurt it worse against a very physical Titans defense. What we should, instead, take from this conversation is that Orton is only going to miss one or two games at most, because he's already feeling much better ... which is great news for the Bears, as they fight to hold a one game lead in the NFC North.

A wounded Bear is the worst kind. He will be in the game if he feels like he can benefit the team and not hurt it. He has a lot of Bret Favre in him and wants to win.

You rock Kyle! Take it easy for a week or two until you're 100%. You come back to soon you can screw that ankle up permanently. I've been an Orton fan since he started and was totally freaked out when Rex got hurt, Orton gets us a play-off birth and they pull him to put Grossman in after recovering from his lame injury. I won't boo Grossman yet, but if he keeps playing the way he did last season it won't take long. Go Bears!

Great news. However, I think he needs to sit this one out and hopefully come back for the Packers game. If he's close to 100% that is. Bear Down!
