Brandon Marshall Responds to Joey Porter, Says He Doesn't Know What a 'Peezy' Is

Joey Porter is known as much for his linebacker skillz as for his gum-flapping abilities. And Sunday, after the Dolphins notched their fourth win of the season over a punchless Broncos team, Mr. Peezy used his post-game presser as an opportunity to point out that Denver wideout Brandon Marshall is, among other things, soft, mopey and a crybaby.

Well today, Marshall was able to collect himself long enough to offer this measured response:

"But [Porter's] definitely one of those guys who all those muscles are popcorn muscles. He's soft. We hear stories floating around the league all the time about him, as far as him being in nightclubs, dancing with his shirt off like a girl, or in the playground getting beat up back in California," Marshall added. "He's one of those guys that no matter how big he is, he can still get knocked on his butt. He's soft. And you can tell the way he's talking. His nickname's 'Peezy'. I don't know what 'Peezy' is, Joey."

Check and mate. Or something.

I don't doubt Marshall was frustrated Sunday; the Broncos looked like a JV squad, and if he and Jay Cutler aren't on the same page -- and they weren't -- Denver doesn't have a chance in hell of winning. And for a guy averaging seven receptions for 85 yards through the first six games, only touching the ball twice might be a tad exasperating.

But it's not like Marshall was out there making a "HEY, LOOK AT ME!" spectacle of himself like he's Terrell Owens or Chad Javon Ocho Cinco, but such details are marginally relevant when it comes to Peezy-inspired rants.

The on-field stuff is all well and good but I want to hear more about Joey "dancing with his shirt off like a girl," or "in the playground getting beat up back in California."

I've got to wonder if these professional athlete have any idea how much they will be taxed when Obama is President.

Depending on the state, some may find that 80% of their salaries (beyond $200K) will be siphoned away for redistribution.

$5M salary, but only $1M take home.

I can hear the howling already.

So who are you marking the scoreboard for?

Marshall the dumb ass primadonna WR who looks more like a TO headcase than the Hines Ward/Wes Welker guy who produces on the field with a smile on their face after every play?

It's about team work, and Marshall will never be about team work. Instead of praising him, maybe you should remind him that instead of mouthing off like he and his QB (Cutler) have been doing lately - they should be winning games. The fact that the Broncos got their asses whooped by a team that went 1-15 last year should be enough to shut Mr. Marshall up.

what really gets me out of everything Mr. Marshall has to say... is that "Joey Porter" is soft... and "gets knocked on his butt" ... Unless I've been smoking crack this season, Joey Porter leads the NFL in sacks (11.5) and lately hes been double teamed and still gets to the quarterback... Doesn't sound like someone who gets knocked on his butt or is "soft"
