Hey, NFL, Rams head coach Jim Haslett wants you to know that he knows that you know that the officials probably missed a call or 12 during Sunday's St. Louis-New England game. You see, the Rams lost 23-16 thanks, in part, to a late Marc Bulger interception, but the whopping zero flags thrown on the Patriots probably didn't help things.
Snyder touched on it in the latest Zebra Report: "I do wonder how it's possible for an NFL team to play 60 minutes of football and not be assessed any penalty yardage." Yeah, so does Haslett.
Which is why he's going through the weekly ritual of sending the game tape to the league.
Haslett noted three instances in which he felt New England should've been hit with a personal foul: a facemask on quarterback Marc Bulger, a late hit on Bulger and an out-of-bounds hit on cornerback Fakhir Brown after an interception. To Haslett's credit, he admitted that calls made in the heat of the game can be viewed differently by different sets of eyeballs. Particularly those eyeballs that don't work. "They're all judgmental calls ... Your eyes or my eyes might see two different things. They're subjective. That's kind of how that works."
The Rams will send tapes to the league office, citing plays in which they think calls were missed. "We've got a few today," Haslett said, smiling. "It doesn't help. It just lets them know you know."
Offensive lineman Richie Incognito, who, shockingly, isn't known for his oratorical prowess, offered this:
"Never ever, ever, ever played a perfect team before ... That's all I am going to say on that one."Well, Richie, let me be the first to introduce you to the awesome powers of Bill Belichick and Matt Cassel. That, my friend, is what perfection looks like. Well, if you close your eyes and imagine Tom Brady hugging a goat. That's what Peter King says, anyhow.
Okay, now it's awkward. Moving on...

The ref did miss some calls, they are allowed to miss a couple, but there were flagrant horsecollar penalties that should have been called, bulger got hit way late, and one receiver was definitely out of bounds when he got hit. These calls should be made. Unintentional hand to the mask can be missed, i understand that, but when the ref is right there? COME ON. Haslett is doing what any good coach should do. Stand up for your team. Linehan did not have the balls to say or do anything like Jim is doing. My hat is off to Jim Haslett. Loving Haslett in St. Louis.

All I'll say is that officials are very friendly to some teams in general. With all those thugs, hoods, and flat-out douche bags that Jerry Jones brings into Dallas, you expect me to believe that the only thing the Cowboys ever do wrong is when Roy Williams (the safety, that is) horse-collars somebody? Same thing happens with New England. Personally, I think that refs weren't slanted so much for New England (because who outside of New England LOVES the Patriots anymore?), but against the Rams. You see it across the board in every sport that's officiated. Teams that aren't doing well, after a while, are judged to have more flaws than teams that are and therefore officials expect those teams to do things wrong. Honestly, I think the Rams' only really huge flaws that made them as putrid as they'd been the last couple of years were a lot of injuries and a terrible coach. Haslett's probably going to have to swallow it this year, but if he stays around (and St. Louis will keep him if they're smart) and wins a few games, things might change next year.

The Patriots are still getting "protection" from the league and the officials, especially when they play the Rams. This is cheating: just like when they were ripping the Rams off before the Superbowl.....I think the justice department needs to take a good look at the game film and the league.

The only way----------THE ONLY WAY the New England pats can win for the last 10 years is by cheating. They have no class, no skill and the suckiest fans (with their heads up their a$$es) anywhere.
