It would be easy to think that everything was fine and dandy with Tom Brady. Even with the news that he needed a procedure to help deal with an infection, how bad could things be when there are pictures of him and Gisele Bundchen prancing around in tabloids all the time? Pretty bad as it turns out. Brady needed two more procedures after the October 15 cleaning to help deal with the infection, the Boston Herald reports this morning. Those are setbacks, to be sure, but are nothing compared to the worst case scenario for the Patriot quarterback.
According to the source, the fear is the patellar tendon graft used to replace Brady's anterior cruciate ligament is in danger of becoming compromised. Should that occur, the entire ACL reconstruction would have to be removed and redone from scratch. That could have serious ramifications for Brady's football future. Doctors would have to wait until they were sure the infection was completely gone before they did another reconstruction. That would hamper his offseason workouts and perhaps training camp and beyond.
It's too soon to make any dire predictions but not too soon to say that Brady's had some awful luck with this surgery. Let's hope that doctors get this infection under control sooner rather than later so that Brady can get back on the field and off the table.

Until the Democrats "RAM" socialized medicine down our throats EVERYONE has the right to select their doctor.
If the Patriots front office doesn't like Brady's doctor, too
frickin' bad, there are about 31 other teams out there ready to give Brady a chance after he heals!

Lowrider, what is wrong with you? What kind of person thinks it is funny that a player's career is in jeapody? This is really unfortunate for Tom. They say this is pretty uncommon and would be very uncommon if the surgery needs to be re-done. Tom opted not to use the Patriots surgeon and everyone can question that but apparently the guy he chose is one of the best, "the man" when it comes to this, so it is not like Tom chose a hack to do the surgery. I wish Brady the best. We need him back, the NFL is bordering on boredom this year.

Anyone who talks like loweridersteeler should be expelled off line. Tom Brady is a gifted person who clearly knows how to play the game. I don't care about New England, but I was sorry to see this happen. I bet if Brady played in Pittsburgh, you be crying the blues. Think before you speak.

Lay off lowrider he is a Steelers fan like me and is allowed to speak freely, is that not what this blog is about? I guess if you want to restrict free speech you should go write your comment on Obama's website! Brady has or had talent and now he is hurt and his team is hurting too, but such is life in the million dollar football industry! It is not like he will be standing in a soup kitchen line anytime soon, it is a part and risk you take when you play the game, so get over it!!!!

As far as i can see this season the Pats are 4-2 and looks to me they are begining to overcome the loss of a great player.Lets just wait and see how happy steeler fans are when the pats lay a drubbing on them in late nov.

Oh chuck I actually feel sorry for you, first Obama is going to win and then the steelers will be embarrassed by the patriots, making people question whether to call the steroiders/steelers a football team. Meanwhile lowrider..... may the same injury occur to you, though most likely not due to sport, but from trying to get off your fat ass to find the remote as you can't bear to watch the patriots running the score up on those losers the steelers....
