Terrell Owens was oddly reserved following the Cowboys' shameful effort against the Rams last Sunday. Usually, a three-interception performance from the quarterback, coupled with only two T.O. catches for 31 yards would result in a predictable post-game tirade, perhaps even some blubbering. But Owens was surprisingly lucid after the debaclement. Yesterday, Owens, hosting his weekly radio show, had BFF and Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on to break the news that he will miss this week's game against the Buccaneers. Which means: more Brad Johnson for everybody!
"Brad is going to go this week unless something happens that I don't foresee," Romo said. "It will be very difficult to change. Right now, we've got to get two wins going into the bye and go from there."And by "don't foresee," I can only assume Romo means "Jerry Jones hooks me up with one of his surgeons/magicians/witch doctors and gives me a new pinky in the next few days." Barring that, Romo probably won't be back on the field until Nov. 16, when the Cowboys travel to Washington to host the Redskins.
Which means that in addition to the Bucs game this weekend, Romo will also miss the Giants get-together in Week 9. Sure, two wins would be nice, but, honestly, if the Cowboys can't beat the Cardinals or the Rams, maybe a more realistic goal would be to pray that everybody comes out of those two games with their health, and worst case, Dallas heads to the bye at 4-5.
Plus, that would make it much easier for Jones to fire Wade Phillips, which is going to happen before the end of the calendar year anyhow.

weaxman -- You are right. Everyone from Pittsburgh is a dolt. In fact, the teaching of grammar is forbidden in all Pittsburgh schools. Look at me, for example: I am from Pittsburgh, and I wouldn't know the difference between a participle and a gerund if it smacked me on the nose. I am glad that you are a fan of intelligent posts, and, most importantly, that you live up to your own high standards. Your entry above looks like a ridiculous stereotype, but because everyone from Pittsburgh is an idiot, your comment is 100% true. Fans of intelligent posts, rejoice! weaxman is on the case. Prepare to be entertained and informed.

It amazes me how a team can spend so much money, buying what they think are the best players in the NFL, [really just a bunch of hoodlums that no other team wants], but the q'back hurts his pinky and the team falls apart. What a joke this team is. The eagles went through 3 q'backs and other starters injured and still went to the superbowl. All glitter, no depth. Ain't it funny how the media had them winning the superbowl before the season even started? Silly, silly cowboys, to the basement you shall go.
