Browns Could Discipline Winslow For Comments About Savage

If Kellen Winslow's goal was to tick off everyone in the greater Cleveland area, boy is he doing a great job.

The tight end with the "is it testicular cancer, Elephantiasis, cancer, an STD" illness that now is being explained as another staph infection (one thing the Browns can win) shot off some remarks about General Manager Phil Savage that aren't sitting well with the management.

Head coach Romeo Crennel said today that Winslow had been in the hospital for the staph infection and may have said some things he didn't really mean. No matter if he meant them or not, Winslow might face some consequences for his chatter about Savage.

"Sometimes the emotions of the game and the emotions of your personal situation kind of overflow," Crennel said. "So I think he probably said some things that he didn't need to talk about to the media."

"We'll investigate it and determine if anything needs to be done," Crennel said. "My policy is to keep family business in the family. So whatever I do, I do and I'm not going to broadcast it."

Wait Romeo, back up a second. So, you're upset with Winslow talking about "family business" to the media yet you're talking about "family business" to the media? How does that make sense? Are you allowed to get away with this because you have such a cute smile? Damn charmer.

To be honest, good for Winslow to say he was disappointed with Savage avoiding him while in the hospital. Staph infections can be serious things, and the Browns organization has had seven since 2005, so obviously something has needed to get done that hasn't.

I guess being honest about your feelings without coming off as condescending or rude is also means for a fine. What next, they dink your paycheck for playing the drums?
