Craziness coming out of the FOX pregame show from Jay Glazer, as he's reporting that Brett Favre called up the Detroit Lions and basically offered up the Green Bay Packers playbook for free, because, well, he doesn't like the Packers.Seriously, that's the report. And it's kind of insane.
The bitterness between Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers was never in debate. Just how deep that went, or continues to go, is unclear. If this story that Glazer is reporting about Brett Favre calling up the Lions to tell them about the Packers offense is true ... well, a few things.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Favre called the Detroit Lions' coaching staff earlier this season to share what he knew about the Packers' offense. Glazer went on to say on the Fox pregame show that Favre spent more than an hour on the phone. (For the record, the Packers beat the Lions, 48-25, on Sept. 14.)
For one, Favre is the most petulant child I've ever seen. Two, he's also a moron -- surely this can't be considered legal/moral. And three, the Detroit Lions are the worst team in the history of the NFL. Why? Because despite Favre's alleged help, they still got depantsed by the Packers. At least call the Bears or something.
Semi-Humorous Update: Howie Long is making "jokes" about the Lions looking "good" against the Vikings and asking if Favre gave them "Cliff-Notes too". It must be true!

I think that its pittifull how everybody seems to be mad at Brett for still wanting to play football. Only farve knows if this true. But it seems to me anything you down the guy for, people are doing. The guy is still a great quarter back, look at the jets and you see that. Let him play football an leave him alone. And by the way greenbay aint goin no where even thou its in the weakest division in the leauge. They had there chance seems to me there the ones that are bitter. boo who.

That story has got to be complete bull. That's not what Brett's all about.
The two brothers from Wisconsin who started the website www.bringbackbrettfavre.com starting offering "Fire Ted" t-shirts after Brett was traded to the Jets. Brett wrote a letter to the brothers just a few weeks ago telling them to stop promoting/selling the shirts. Now, since Brett did something like that, why in the hell would he turn around and call the Lions to tell them all about Green Bay? It wouldn't surprise me one bit if all of this didn't come from some idiot Brett hater.
And for all you morons who are anti-Brett, you are all just green cause your team didn't get him. Go sit in your corners, suck your thumbs and quit whining like TO. You haters are the ones who need to grow up!
This so-called sports writer is the moron for believing this story in the first place. He needs to find a new line of work because his instincts suck!!!

Thank you! Thats exactly it! Haven't we always loved Brett not only because hes a great player, but also because of the great guy he is too? Hes the kind of guy we want to reperesent our team! He wouldnt do a thing like that.
Thompson is just mad that there are so many "Packer fans" that have changed to "favre fans". hes finally realizing that he made a HUGE mistake letting him go. I dont know about you...but GO BRETT! even if you are a JET.
After 17 season, wheres your loyalty people!?!

Favre is not the most intelligent player I've ever heard speak. He played and was paid huge sums of money to play football for Green bay. He retired. He was begged to not retire but he did anyway. He changed his mind after a very long time. Green Bay moved on and then accepted Favre back but he would have to compete with the new guy. He refused and ran a media circus of childish behavior. He might be a good quarterback but he is white trash with money in my book.

First off get your FACTS straight. 1. The Packers did not beg Brett to come back; Thompson has wanted him gone ever since he drafted Rodgers. 2. According to the Packers, it was NOT a long time later that Brett changed his mind, it was within the month. 3. Brett was NEVER given the option to compete for the job; that would of defeated the purpose of having Rodgers start since Brett would of had no problem (in my opinion) beating him out for the job. 4. The media circus was as much the Packers fault as it was Bretts; they share equally in that debacle.

I find it hard to believe that Green Bay would be using the same playbook as last season... Rodgers is not the same type of quarterback as Favre.
