It's never that surprising to hear that a large portion of America is all about the Dallas Cowboys. After all, they are "America's Team" (for whatever reason) and they seem to consistently provide each generation with a reason to jump on that bandwagon. I'm fairly certain that people my age were in a polarizing love/hate relationship with the Aikman - Emmitt - Irvin 'Boys, and I think that Romo - Barber - Witten inspire the same sort of thing. (Oh yeah, Terrell Owens too.) Or maybe not. Because it looks like, based on the top 10 NFL jersey sales (via Darren Rovell), that everyone just loves them.
1. Brett Favre, New York JetsAh yes. I just remembered why so many people hate them. They're a huge bandwagon! No, seriously -- how else can you possibly explain a tight end being the eighth best selling jersey in America?
2. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
3. Eli Manning, New York Giants
4. Marion Barber, Dallas Cowboys
5. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
6. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
7. Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts
8. Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
9. LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
10. Terrell Owens, Dallas Cowboys
Or, perhaps the fact that Marion Barber is the fourth-best selling jersey, and Adrian Peterson is only sixth. Barber's been great, of course, but in a world where talent and ability to perform without any semblance of a quarterback should matter, there's no way he's better than 'Purple Jesus'.

I've been a Cowboys fan for years. I have noticed that a lot of people claim to be Cowboys fans...people who you wouldn't think would be fans...
I have this great Cowboys football print by Rick Rush, a sports artist (www.rickrushart.com).

Marion Barber great? he can't get past the line of scrimmage unless there is a hole 10 ft. wide. he is an average back. and cowboy fans not from texas will never know what it is like to be a true fan of any team. when i was in the military it was never the same as being home to root for the skins. totally different experience.

True fans have had their jersey for years. I'm not going to buy a Big Ben jersey this year because I've had it since 2003.
That said, Cowboys may have the unearned title of "America's Team," but nobody has the Steelers Nation.
Eat it!

Another FAKE Steeler fan makes a comment. This clown insists he is a "true" fan... LOL. If you must LIE, at least get your information correct. In 2003, Ben Roethlisberger wasn't a Steeler. They drafted him in April of 2004, so you managed to get a VERY rare jersey. You got one long before they drafted him!

Ben wasn't even a Steeler in 2003. What else do you unemployed steel workers lie about in all your idle time?

are you kiddin me!?! I confess i am a die hard cowboys fan, i loved them with aikman, i loved them with quincy carter, and i love them now with romo! Not to mention all the guys inbetween the three. That being out of the way, I live in minnesota, and am a pretty big Vikings fan....i have on bold but VERY true statement.....Marion Barber is a better running back than Adrian Peterson. THats right i said it. I will go into that more if asked. His jersey's should be a hotter seller.

Personally, I would not wear a cowboy jersey if someone gave me one. I support another team
but I guess they are not as important in Oklahoma
as in their state. When I search for a jersey or t shirt, I can rarely find one available. Perhaps the cowboy promoters are more skilled in marketing their products than others.

The jersey that should be the #1 seller is #40 for the AZ Cardinals. Pat Tillman was a true American hero, and everyone should have one, just to remember the sacrifice he made. Giving up millions of dollars and the safety of professional sports, to do a tour in Afghanistan. Big brass ones. All of you should go out and buy one right now, and support his (posthumous) charity.
