Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Michael Jenkins made a great catch at the sideline in the final seconds of Sunday's game against the Bears, setting up the game-winning field goal on the next play. But if you look closely to Jenkins' right in this video, you'll notice something strange:
Falcons owner Arthur Blank was standing on the sidelines and he made the "incomplete" signal with his arms. What on earth he was thinking I can't imagine -- he does know it's the team in red he owns, right? -- but the officials correctly ruled it a catch.

I noticed this as it happened and laughed - I'm surprised it took this long for someone to finally comment on it. This is why owners stay up in the box, Arthur. They even have a name for it - "owners' box."
Anyway, what I believe our friend Arthur was trying to communicate is that Jenkins was not pushed out - that he in fact landed in bounds. His waving of the arms was his trying to communicate "Dude, he totally caught it - he was NOT out of bounds! No way! Don't even think about calling out of bounds!"
Anyway, yeah, stupid Arthur. You don't belong on the sidelines. Leave that to the plastic-faced Jones guy over in Texas.
