If the absolute stomping by the Browns on Monday Night Football wasn't enough, head coach Tom Coughlin is reporting that his star quarterback suffered a chest injury. With 10:16 left in the second quarter, Eli Manning was slammed into the ground by Browns defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, suffering a chest injury that was still a problem after the game.
The play was very close to roughing-the-passer but no fine has been handed out yet to the 350-pound Rogers. It's pretty fair to assume the chest pain bothered him throughout the game, as Eli tossed three picks in his worst performance of the season."He got hit and when he was driven into the ground ... his chest was bothering him after the game," coach Tom Coughlin said on a conference call minutes ago. "He was in some pain there. But I don't have any information other than that today. He was in the training room and we'll see."
Coughlin was asked if Manning will miss practice tomorrow or thereafter.
"I don't know that," he said. "I don't know anything yet. They're going to do all of the tests and those types of things.
Also, it probably didn't help when he tried to tackle Eric Wright on the interception return for a touchdown, laying out to push him out of bounds but ending up belly-flopping the sideline.
"I'm not going to know until I hear some things," he said. "From time to time, for anybody who plays that position, you're going to have some things that don't allow you to perform at your best. Injuries do occur. I don't know whether this is (an injury) or not. Eli has played very well with soreness and that type of thing. I'm sure that's something he'll be able to go ahead and practice and play with but we'll see. As I said, I don't have a lot of information now."If Eli does have to miss some time in practice and possibly this Sunday against San Francisco, there will be one group of people excited. Ready everyone.....get yourselves in position...okay, on three...one...two...three...MITTENS!

Must be crappy to get your quarterback hurt during a football game. Just ask Derek Anderson about his preseason concussion he suffered at the hands of the Giants Defense.
Like an elephant that never forgets, such is the Browns Defense. Wait until we get our hands on his brother Peyton and the other Colts that rested their first string guys in their last year during their final regular season game, esentially throwing the game, which kept the Browns out of the Wild Card hunt.
Bet we forgot that too.
P.S. We are still mad at Denver for " The Drive "
We got a bone to pick with The Steelers and a lot of high profile games still to play ahead of us.
GO BROWNS !

Eli Manning has a very sturdy frame not to have exploded when Rogers jumped on him. It also seemed a little bit suspect when Rogers came in low and placed his helmet on Eli's left lower knee. I thought he was hurt right then and there.

haha very sturdy frame? eli has the same frame as my grandfather, thin an soft. AND if you saw the play you would've seen that eli got absolutely crushed into the turf, I would've figured he got a clavicle or shoulder injury from that alone
