Publicly, the Dallas Cowboys have said nothing about the report that cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones got into a fight at a local hotel.
But according to ESPN's Ed Werder, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is privately "furious" that Pacman has gotten into trouble again.
"Jerry Jones is furious about this," Werder said today on ESPN Radio. "There were reports last week that he's been ordering Pacman Jones to conduct himself in a proper manner. Jerry Jones went through considerable expense to have a four-man security detail attached to Pacman Jones. They rotated in on a schedule. He was not allowed to drive to the facility or anywhere else by himself. He had a driver so that if there was even a traffic offense and they were pulled over it wouldn't be Pacman Jones himself who would be accountable to law enforcement authorities that could lead to a more serious situation."
Of course, you could ask why on earth Jerry ever brought in a player who would need that kind of round-the-clock babysitting.
"Jerry admitted that he was knowingly risking the integrity of his team with Adam Jones," Werder continued. "He said he had a face-to-face conversation with him before they made the trade in which he made sure that Adam Jones knew he had lost the benefit of the doubt."
If Pacman has lost the benefit of the doubt, doesn't that mean we have to assume that the report that Pacman attacked his bodyguard is true? And if it's true, doesn't that mean Pacman has to be suspended again? It's hard to see how this ends well.

While not a Cowboys fan per se', it's easy to respect Jerry Jones for all he has done since becoming the owner of the Cowboys. I am looking forward to seeing that team play next year in that amazing stadium. But, when do you finally not cross the line and stop tarnishing the logo of your brand with these idiots like this guy, who will always, always, be the same and let you down? It's as deep as a tattoo, that this guy is a F-up ! I also thought that Owens was a cancer he should have avoided as well..Owens should ahve been booted to the Candian League to cry and fail in oblivion.

Pacman is the typical lame brain idiot who just can't seem to get it. The man is playing a 'kids' game, making grown up money, big time. Yet, in his nimble mind thinks he can do as he pleases because he plays in the NFL. Here is another athlete who, in a few years or less, will end up shooting his girlfriend or someone else in a bar fight and he'll end up being OJ's cellmate. Time is not on this fools side and he's not smart enough to see that.

It has nothing to do with racism, that is just the way some of ther players act. There were even a couple white players the same way a few years ago

The fact that you do not understand that your post had racist overtones makes you a sad person. "cocky blacks that think they are above the law just because they are black" Is a stupid statement at a minimum. They are cocky because they are rich and can buy there way out of any situation. They are cocky because they are sought after because of their athletic prowess. No black person is cocky just because they are black. There is no real advantage in that.

Jerry Chill the #### out! Reprimand him than move on.
He got into an argument...
"Police arrived and spoke to the parties after they had a verbal argument. Both parties agreed to leave, and they left."
No complaint filed. No police report.
Matt Jones was found asleep in his car with 6grams of an 'illegal substance' and there's no action taken...
Are we really gonna crucify Pac for this?...

one could have seen it coming. just because the player is a "superstar " there is more to a team than that.this guy was trouble from the beginning of his career . he thinks that because he's all pro and making alot of money he's above everyone else as far as j jones goes , you buy the pits and that's what you get.for a man who made tons of money in business you have no common sense

As we say you reap what you sow , Pac-man was a bad investement for the Cowboys , should have never been picked-up , Now TO is starting up again , And Romo and the rest of the Cowboys are going to pay for Jones , thinking every one can change.. Cowboys are
a 9 -7 team and don't make the playoffs. They would do well to listen to Emmit Smith.

Jerry Jones gave this guy a second chance and I can not beleive he is in a strip club. Isn't he on probation? 12 arrests and suspended from the NFL. Throw him out regardless of talent. Do the right thing for the fans for once. Look what the Giants did to Plexico B.

Pacman Jones, then big mouth Terrel Owens. Remember in the past, the Cowboys had the controversial Michael Irving. I expect next the Cowboys to want to get Michael Vick by trading Tony Romo(Owens says that Jessica Simpson curses the team when she goes to Cowboys games). Then the Cowboys should change their names to the outlaws. By the way to the Dallas fan who said that the Cowboys are a dynasty, they're not. It's the New York Yankees who have won 26 world championships. GO YANKEES! to another Yankee championship in 2009! By the way, I do admire your owner Jerry Jones. He's like our owner George Steinbrenner who wants to win.
