The New York Giants are playing without their top wide receiver today, thanks to the one-game suspension handed down to Plaxico Burress.Quarterback Eli Manning would like everyone to know he's just fine without his favorite receiver.
Manning went into the locker room at halftime with video game numbers: 15-of-18 for 224 yards, with the Giants whipping the Seahawks 27-6. Manning has completed his passes to eight different receivers. Domenik Hixon is leading the way with four catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.
It would be nice to think that Burress is sitting at home watching this and thinking to himself, "Wow, my teammates are playing great without me. I guess that means I'm not above the team and need to stop ignoring team rules." I have my doubts about that, but I have no doubt that Manning has become one of the league's elite quarterbacks.

A pop warner team can beat the Seahawks. I also think Plax is sitting home in his mansion enjoying the game on a 60" HD tv as well.

Paxico is a teriffic receiver and played very well in pain all last year. This is all over on Monday when he returns. Coach has made his point that the rules apply to everyone equally. Godd job proving on the field that it is about the team and that everyone there brings plenty to the table. No one is more important than the team, period.

Why is it like pulling teeth to get anyone to give the G-men some respect? First they beat the "best team in history" (not my personal opinion) for the Super Bowl and now they are 4-0 in a division no one picked them to do squat in. When is someone going to say good job and you guys are talented and well deserving? Hmmmm maybe its the adversity that they feed on? If that's the case... then keep it coming! Go Big Blue!

Could it be the G-Men are a more balanced team without Plaxico? At the least it gave Eli a chance to see what Hixon and Moss could do.
Plaxico milght have to really step it up if he wants the ball next week.
