Last night I pointed out that Terrell Owens, according to sources, had concerns with how Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was utilizing his awesomeness during games. No specifics, but some vague mention of being frustrated with his lack of touches (wait, what?), especially in the deep passing game. Turns out, T.O. isn't upset with Dallas' offensive game plan, he's bummed that ESPN studio analyst Keyshawn Johnson, who Owens has affectionately taken to calling "Sheshawn", was critical of his play following the Redskins game.
No worries, though; T.O. WILL NOT BE SILENCED ON THIS VERY IMPORTANT MATTER:
Regarding Keyshawn Johnson, whom Owens' referred to as Sheshawn at least three times, he said: "[As the No. 1 overall pick in the 1996 draft] he is the ultimate underachiever on that panel. I am the reason he is in the booth. Everybody is aware when I was brought to Dallas he was the one they let go to get me here."Two things: first, Dwayne Jarrett is the reason Keyshawn is "in the booth"; the Panthers drafted Jarrett in the second round of the 2007 draft, which ultimately led to Johnson's release -- or, asking to be cut, depending on who's telling the story -- and a second career in television.
He said there was one thing he agreed with that [Cris] Carter had to say and that was that Jerry Rice is the best receiver of all time. "But I am second all time behind Jerry Rice," Owens said in accentuating his superiority over Carter and Johnson.
Second, I take issue with Owens' claim that Sheshawn "is the ultimate underachiever on that panel." Are we not counting Chris Mortensen because they make him give his reports from a broom closet?
I sorta like Keyshawn (both as a player and an in-studio voice), but I certainly understand why Owens might not be all that jazzed by some of his comments (the two have a history of hating-while-preening each other). Fine. Of course, this all goes away -- T.O.'s bellyaching, and the subsequent media criticism -- if the Cowboys win. (Although, no matter what happens, Wade Phillips is so getting canned after the season; he could win the Super Bowl by 50 points and it wouldn't matter.)
In the meantime, Owens just wants us -- and Sheshawn -- to know that he's not upset at his quarterback, he's just frustrated by losing. Duly noted, sir.

The more I hear comments from Terrell Owens, the more I'm convinced that he must have some sort of a low self esteem issue. A person that is truly great in their craft wouldn't feel the need to defend themselves and or their actions each and everytime something is said about them negatively...If you look at the character of great players like...Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, great receivers like Jerry Rice or Art Monk...those players were truly great and they let their on field play speak for them...I believe that if you have to constantly remind people of how great you are, then you must not truly believe you're as great as you're trying to convince other people to believe you are.... That's just my opinion, but who am I, I'm watching them on television...laughing...and it's not even one of them Plasma or HD television...............

T.O. second only to Jerry Rice as an all-time receiver? Please, please, T.O, send me a sample of whatever it is you are smoking. You can walk through the Cowboys Hall of Fame and find receivers better than T.O. (Drew Pearson for one). And how about those enshrined in Canton? For awhile, T.O.'s shtick is funny, but then it just becomes arrogant and lame. Give it a rest, please.

Last I checked, Keyshawn WON his Super Bowl - and he did it with Brad Johnson as his QB. TO pissed off his quarterback, got suspended, and basically destroyed an entire team in the wake of his last season in Philly. If anyone has underachieved, I think it's TO. Here's a guy who had talent all around him and he can't get his team over the hump. Keyshawn was the missing piece for the Bucs offense in 2002 and got them a ring. Before TO runs his mouth, he and Key should compare ring fingers.

T.O. is the kind of big mouth blowhard that brings out the N. word from people. The guy is an excellant receiver, why can't he let his playing speak for itself. He might be in the top 10 but he isn't number 2 like he says. He isn't even as good as Moss, or Harrison and never will be as good as Rice, Monk and a few others

T.J. you make a very good point. It is actually getting to a point of ridiculousness. If only there were more players in the league like Troy Brown who just shut up and played...and played pretty well at that. We're losing these guys every day. The guys who treat the NFL like a job, not a soap opera. I know it's entertainment, but come on. Get over yourself. You're not Susan Lucci TO. Oh wait, she's the one that gets close to winning an emmy but loses everytime right? Ok, just checking. SHUT UP AND PLAY!!

TO quit crying. if u didnt drop so many balls u would have more yards. Just catch the ball and quit talking about everybody. You owe most of your success to those quarterbacks that were throwing the ball to u.

I'm a skins fan to the grave. I hate the cowboys. At first it was funny but now it's gotten to the point TO is such an embarrassment it's not even funny anymore. TO is a great athlete could be a great receiver only problem is he can't catch the ball half the time, he's an idiot, and he hasn't won s#!t. I'm really starting to think he did try to kill himself. TO doesn't need people to bash him, he needs help. TO doesn't love himself, that's why he does this. That's why he works so hard to try and achieve physical greatness and superior stats on paper. He don't believe half the ridiculous s#!t he say, he just needs you to believe it. That's what validates his miserable existence. TO needs to feel liked by people. Greatness is not in what you say, it's in what you do. He goes to sleep every night knowing that he don't measure up cause he hasn't won. I really don't care about the Sheshawn thing, but Carter is a class guy and doesn't deserve it. The 2nd behind Rice thing is a joke. TO ain't won S#!T! Absolutely nothing! I like M.Irvin as much as i can like a cowboy cause he did it his way good, bad, ugly, right, or wrong and he backed it up on the field. I'll do Irvin a favor and say what he won't publicly because of his cowboy loyalty. Hey TO, you forgetting somebody? He should just walk down and slap TO in the face w/ his D!*k and remind him "i got jewelry B!+*h" try getting some before you talk all this b.s.! Who really gives a damn about the best receiver of all time that never won a damn superbowl. TO keep J.Rice name out your mouth. you're not like him, no association whatsoever. Jerry was a-winner you're just a-nnoying.

I'm not here to defend TO or Keyshawn but if you look at their stats (and I KNOW about the SB trophy), TO clearly outperformed the guy hands down. I think he bashes Keyshawn because he can.

I love how you claim that YOU pointed out that Terrell Owens, according to sources, was concerned about the COwboys offense.
You didn't point out crap. The Dallas Morning News did and you decided to write about it. But this piece, this second coming of your own Sheshawn-like ego, is just drivel.
Keyshawn Johnson was an average receiver. Your manlove for him is disturbing.

T.O is a complete embarassment to the entire NFC East, and making his way to being a complete embarrasment to the NFL in general. I am neither a Dallas fan or a Redskins fan, but I did watch the game and T.O had 4 or 5 passes that were perfectly thrown to him, he just outright didn't catch, call it good coverage by the Redskins if you want to, but this happens every game for him. Dallas has got to be one of the most over rated teams, they have some great talent on the team, they just don't know how to ultilize it, they can't even make the damn superbowl, they always choke in the playoffs, why because people like T.O get "big headed" and forget about the game, it's all about the lights and fame! Well shut up already T.O you players get paid a King's Ransom to play a childs game, get over yourself and put your money where your mouth is!!!

TO you are ridiculous you always are crying to get the ball more, but TO you have to realize you are surrounded by great talent like Barber, Crayton, Jones, Witten, and others. TO needs to realize that the team doesn't revolve around him anymore they got other talent to help him out. TO needs to just shut up and play and take the double teams and spread defenses out for people like Witten, Barber, Crayton to make some plays. Be a team player TO and you might win a super bowl ring.

I really hate to write this but...T.O. is a prime example why white people would use the N word,He is no where close to #2 all time, did he learn anything in School,he sounds like an uneducated cry baby!He couldn't hold Jerry Rices' JOCKSTRAP!!He could smell it and talk into it #1 all time thou.I would like to see where he stands all time for dropped passes.Does this guy acually believe what comes flying out of that trap of his?Shut that HOLE in your face and try to catch the ball.

The only reason T.O. keeps dropping the ball is because when they throw it to him its not in line with the cameras so he can be seen on tv. If they would get the ball in line with cameras then he will catch them.

i have to give the devil his due, t.o. even as middle age player is still one of the best recievers in the nfl if not the best playing the game today. what seperates him, like his predacessors before him, in michael irwin, both want 2 things one is the ball, and the other is to win. and t. o. is right, sheshawn can't pull back the skin with both hands lol
