New York Giants running back Danny Ware was arrested at 2:24 a.m. Sunday morning while doing what we all do when we're drunk and with a girl -- standing in the middle of oncoming traffic just chatting away. The Athens-Banner Herald reported (via The Star-Ledger) that both Ware and 24-year-old Jennifer Henderson were charged with pedestrian under the influence and pedestrian in the roadway.

I guess all of this leads to just one simple question. What did the guy do after the Giants beat the Patriots? Scottsdale has a lot of streets you can stand in while talking to people. I prefer Sandalwood Drive.Ware and a 24-year-old Dallas woman attracted a police officer's attention at about 2:25 a.m. Sunday at East Clayton Street near North Jackson Street because they seemed oblivious to traffic that had to steer around them as they stood in the street talking, according to police.
Ware admitted that he'd been drinking, and a breath test showed he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.152 grams, police said.

He wasn't driving, so leave him alone. If you're under the influence you're supposed to be a pedestrian.

So let me get this straight....it's okay to be drunk, just as long as you're a pedestrian ? Because God knows, drunk pedestrians are no threat to anyone, especially if they're walking ON THE ROADWAY causing a hazard to drivers who HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY. Hence the reason states have Intoxicated Pedestrian laws. Ever think maybe a few hundred of them got whacked by passing cars ? You want to be drunk ? Fine, stay home or get a taxi or a designated driver or walk on the friggin' sidewalk, but stay the hell off the roadway.

So the guy says "I'm drunk, I think I'll walk instead of driving" So he does the smart thing, and then gets arrested?? Make it so someone who drinks doesn't drive, then arrest him for NOT DRIVING!! It's Crazy!!

I think it is great that he decided to walk and not drive while intoxicated. The only problem that I think the police had was he decided to walk IN THE STREET!!!!! I agree that the only reason we are hearing about this is the fact that he is an athlete, but lets not try and make the guy look responsible for being a drunken idiot. Lets also not forget there are laws against public intoxication. Bottom line.....If drinking makes you an idiot don't do it!!!!!

he was arrested for STANDING in traffic drunk, not just walking around. The cops did him a favor. If I see some dumbass blocking traffic, I'd be more likely to wonder if he was trying to carjack me and I would give him a bumper sandwich for his trouble.

Shane Bacon is a sport writter huh? Think he would know that Ware is a Rookie and was not a member of the Superbowl Giants. Obviously he is not a Giant fan or knows anything about them. Perhaps he should look into the guys that graduate from Ivy League schools, get jobs on Wall St. and bring down an entire country.

Here's a little advice to the person who wrote this story--I don't know about you but I would never stand in the middle of on coming traffic when I'm drunk or don't know anyone else who would

Drinking is not legal anymore, whether your standing on your own property making a fool of yourself or walking they can get you with something drinking related anywhere. People need to wakeup and get off the bandwagons.

Everyone has to be somewhere I guess. Off week, a couple of beers, now he can meet the judge and commissioner . I dont think Coach Coughlin is going to like this one. LT would have at least parked his purple porsche in the center of the street to block traffic. End game he will learn one valuable lesson. He is Special, just like everyone else.
