Seriously, the Rams suck ... and they have only handed the ball to arguably their best offensive weapon 27 times in two weeks. Obviously, you can attribute some of that to being far behind in the games and having to throw the ball in order to catch up. That doesn't, however, tell the whole story. Offensive coordinator Al Saunders has been a bit conservative with Steven Jackson because he doesn't think his body was ready yet, after a lengthy holdout:"Steven's a special back," Saunders said, "but I don't care who you are, it takes time to get into the flow."There are more touches coming Jackson's way, however, in the upcoming weeks.
"We have to get the ball to our best player, No. 39," Saunders said. "He hasn't run the ball enough, and we need to make sure that we establish our run" so that opponents can't tee off in obvious passing situations.Well, that would be a start.
With as bad as the defense has played and as easily as the offensive line allows opposing defensive fronts to pressure Marc Bulger, it doesn't take an offensive guru to figure out the best way for the Rams to gain an advantage is by running the football about 30 times per game. Keep that clock running and move those chains. We'll see how it turns out this weekend in Seattle, an opponent who has allowed 67 points in two games.
Fantasy Spin:
I'm sensing an old-school (well, not too old ... I was thinking '06 level) SJax blowup in Seattle. It's not out of the question for a 25 point outing, even though the game is on the road and the Rams will likely lose.

Jackson,.... what a joke. We go 3-13 last year, and this clown holds out during training camp, and now were 0-3, wow, what a surprise. I remember when a certain guy just won the league MVP, and S.B 34 MVP, and he signs a three year minimum just so he can go out and get on the field and practice for the defense of our crown in 2000, just a few weeks later he would get the 7 year 40 some odd million deal(of coarse the RAMS cut him like a piece of garbage part way through that), this is why we are in this state, an aweful team, we get rid of diamonds in the ruff, and keep giant pieces of crap instead! Why do we suck?, an aweful front office, and especially the president(ahh, he might as well own the team, he answers to no one!), a bad team chemistry on the field, qb's rolle thier eyes at coaches, star wr's throwing tiraides on the sidelines, the last LA RAM heads off to the team that once ridiculed him as THE SAME OLD RAMS, he could'nt take a pay cut to help out a 3-13 team, meanwhile the RAMS let Kevin Curtis go the year before because he wanted to start somewhere, as we hold on to that aging low life obviously now for nothing!(BRUCE is a scumbag, but no longer on the team, so how much can I go on about the low-life!). This is an aweful organization, I feel bad for Linehan the scapegoat for the NFL's worst organization, even if this guy thought, "Heck, this is my last year, am I going into the battle of my life with these sorry leaders, Bulger, Holt, and Jackson, ....or....do I have a monster trade, clean house, and put my own stamp on this team?",.....hardy, har, har,.... yeah right, like SHAW would let him do it, first off SHAW is still(STILL) trying to prove he did not screw up in the WARNER VS BULGER fiasco, where I still believe Martz's war with Brenda is what caused his exit, well his "crapping on" to be honest, thrown away like a piece of garbage, the man that still has records for most yards passed in a season in the NFC, and most tds in a season also
in the NFC conference, he's like the NFC Dan Marino, or Manning(I don't count Bradys 50, there was cheating going on, and even if spygate cuased people to change there d-signals, and what not, I believe"don't know for sure" but believe they have been cheating on the cap too, my opinion only, in short Brady still had like a pro bowl offense all around him, even when he wasnt getting the exact defensive signals radioed into his helmet, he was near unstoppable in 08" reguardless), so anyway Linehan doesnt even have anything to do with that nonsense(the Warners vs Martz, and Shaw, or Warner vs
Bulger, whatever!). If Bulger starts again in week 4, he must have made a pact with the devil or something, you would have to be Montana or Johnny Unitas or something to be given this many repreaves, even Montana( I hate him, but he was great, didnt deserve his fate) got crapped on after bringing 4 S.B's to S.F, all those championship games Young lost, and playoffs, what if montana had still been in?, oh that's another story, and one about our hated enemies no less, but in fairness to them, except for the "SAME OLD RAMS " stuff by classless STUBELFIELD,McDONALD, and a few jackas NINER players, they had class, and they didnt cheat, at least not that I know of( I heard some cap b.s rumours for the 94" team, but nothing confirmed, not like how the PATS are blatently caught,....period!, not like that) . Well, they did not cheat us out of a dynasty let me add, the 80's and 90's were rough at times with S.F in our division, but they never cost us a dynasty, not even close to that kind of thing, the outrage of it all, just thinking of it!. To some things up(too much "I HATE N.E stuff there for a minute!), Jackson whined about Faulk not really mentoring him, then he was taken under the arm of the two biggest punks ever on our team HOLT, AND BRUCE(who
were both very vocal about ousting Warner, as they cackled like two little old ladies with Kyle Turley, and Madame Martz, it was enough to make a gown man sick, imagine YOUNGBLOOD playing with these primadonnas, the guy would probablly have comitted hary cary. Jackson allways irked me, we got big problems if we are depending on this clown. Well, maybe a qb change, if we can get someone to be a better
field general, get past 3 and punt, 3 and punt, ect...., keep the D" off the field for 2 seconds if nothing else. I hope Green comes out at the least, if he can run Saunders offense, maybe if the change gives the other guys a spark, and they rally around the likable ex pro bowl qb, maybe we can depend less on the egocentric prima donna Jackson. Second thing is Linehan has to change that D" allignment, Haslett must have lost his mind. Why put a 6-3" 263 lb man down at hands in the dirt DE, when he could be a huge pass rushing OLB like a Kevin Greene, one year Jeff Fischer at
the time our D" coordinator tried to put Greene down at 4-3 DE,.... he had 3 sacks that year, your talking about a guy who had like 160 some odd sacks when it was all said, and done, it's not about your system Haslett(which confuses me, wasn't he the coordinator for blitzburgh?, maybe I'm not remembering correctly, or was it Lebou), anyway, its about the talent you have, what if Parcells just made LT a regular old middle LB, or a small DE, would he have shined?, why draft LONG number two over all to have him as an ordinary Joe?, and Witherspoons talents could be better utilized, Little getting long in the tooth could not be hurt by that extra cushion I'll bet, go to the 3-4 for Pete's sake! The RAMS need a huge change on D", along with not being out on the field every minute of the game practically, thanks Jackson anyway, I hope you enjoy your loot, cause you screwed all of us for it!....SGJINKS
"THE RAMMY WHAMMY WILL BE BACK!,....WHEN SHAW IS
FIRED, and the new owner hires BILL COWHER! THE WHAMMY WILL BE BACK IN 2010!, a psychic prediction!, and I'm as psychic as a magic 8 ball!, just wish that would happen!!!!!
