Jim Zorn Will Now Explain to Redskins That Posting Playbook Online Is a Dumb Idea

A country still reels from the aftermath of PenisGate, but Redskins tight end Chris Cooley, whose twig and berries were the talk of the googlenets the last few days, is trying to put this behind him and get on with the business of playing football.

Yesterday he posted an apology on his blog for unintentionally showing the ole wedding tackle, but the bigger issue, at least for head coach Jim Zorn, wasn't that Cooley was nekkid, but that he had potentially divulged top-secret information in the process. The lurid photo in question also showed a "Tight Ends Test" (not a euphemism), which was part of the 'Skins' playbook as they prepared for last week's Saints game.

Senator Ted Stevens' greatest fears have become reality: the series of tubes that allow us to order Netflix can also be used for nudie pics and football quizzes.
Concerned that Pro Bowl tight end Chris Cooley displayed private team information on his blog, Washington Redskins Coach Jim Zorn plans to address players tomorrow regarding their conduct while using the Internet, he said late yesterday.

"My first thought is to just make a team-wide statement and talk about it," said Zorn, who will speak with players before the team begins preparations to face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at FedEx Field. "It's not just Chris, anybody can do that, and we've just got to make sure that these guys are using" common sense.
Yes, it's not just Chris snapping photos of his gonads, uploading them to the internet and allowing us common folk a glimpse into the life of a 20-something millionaire. Everybody on the 'Skins' is doing it. Actually, Zorn seems to be handling this the right way; the fact that he knows about MySpace, Facebook and blogging are, well, sorta weird, but his point still stands:
"I think the rule of thumb that I'm going to have to contend with here is that if you have your own blog, and you're putting photos or you're even saying anything, that nothing really should be put in there that has Redskins playbook [on it]. That goes without saying. I think Chris used a little bit of poor discretion using that type of prop, if you will."
I wonder what Joe Gibbs would've done if confronted with this problem? Ignore it? Have Vinny Cerrato explain what an "Internets" is? Make Cooley attend bible study?
