Eagles Drop Tough One in Dallas but All Is Not Lost

The Eagles and Cowboys put on one heck of a show last night and entertained football lovers all across America. Dallas came away with the win but Philadelphia showed the country and the rest of the NFL that they're a team to be taken seriously. Terrell Owens and Tony Romo may have the early edge in the NFC East, but it's not the standings in September that matter.

The close game showed that both teams are legit playoff contenders and should surely battle each other as well as the Giants for the division. Winning in Dallas is always a challenge for the Eagles, but if you asked me today who will win their late December meeting in Philadelphia, I'd put my money on the home team. If both teams play through their schedule as most expect them to, last night's battle could set up a huge game in late December in Philadelphia.

Any team would obviously prefer to win both games against their hated division rival but if you're going to split a season series, I'd rather win one in December than September. When most Eagles experts went through the schedule before this season, they wrote last night's game in Texas off as a loss. The fact that the Birds game one drive or one preventable mistake away from a win should give this Eagles team a small confidence boost against the rest of the league.

Whatever team you're a fan of, you certainly shouldn't be looking forward to playing the Eagles this year.

Thanks Tony and T.O and all the effort the team gave last night to pull off that win. It was shakey there for awhile. But the BOYS did in BIG "D".

I just want to say that I miss on the article the other day about Romo helping those people to fix their flat tire. You are the best. I want to also thank Tony Romo parents for "LETTING YOUR BABY GROW UP TO BE A COWBOY" you rock Tony. To the team you all are just great. Keep up all the hard work you do for FANS like me.

The Eagles played a very good game, while Dallas made several horrible gaffes, and gave Philly over 100 yards worth of penalties and still managed to win. Tony Romo gift-wrapped 14 points for the Eagles and they still somehow lost the game? They're supposed to take positives from that?

The only thing Philadelphia proved is they can play. However, without all the Cowboy mistakes, this game would not have been so close.

I didn't see any defense going on there. They were both putting up big numbers but I didn't see any worthy defense.

Another thing......where was Philadelphia's 2 minute drill? You gotta be able to do it in a pressure situation. This isn't good.

Donavan looked great but he needs some plays.

Tony Romo can't take the heat but can pour it on when he has security. If you can't have confidence in your quarterback the rest of the game falls apart.

These are 2 glaring issues here.

Lets see what happens when they get see a team with a very good defense.

I still don't understand why the hell we STILL commit so many damned penalties!?! Next to Tony's flubs these penalties are the next cancer the Boy's just can't seem to shake off! I blame the coaches.....Bad Job Coaches!
