The Lions May Suck, but Aaron Rodgers Certainly Does Not

Well, when it comes to execution, you don't get more precise or quick than the one being delivered to the Detroit Lions today.

And Green Bay fans are absolutely giddy at this point in the season. After all the controversy involving the Packers' quarterback change during the summer, Aaron Rodgers has done nothing but validate management's decision.

So far against Detroit, Rodgers has hit 14 of 17 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns. In the first half. His quarterback rating for the game is 156.5. You can't get any higher than 158.3.

Most of it has come during three straight touchdown drives, all of which featured big plays by Rodgers. The Packers are five for five on third downs in those three series, and Rodgers has found Donald Driver, James Jones, Greg Jennings, and even rookie Jordy Nelson for big plays and/or scores so far today.

(Nelson caught his first NFL pass in the second quarter, and it was good for a touchdown.)

Meanwhile, the Packers defense just keeps forcing punts and getting the ball back to Rodgers.

This is fun.
