The Detroit Lions have sucked every year of the Matt Millen era, but this season they've introduced a fun new way of sucking: They're falling behind 21-0 at the start of each game.Last week against the Falcons, the Lions fell behind 21-0 on the way to a 34-21 loss. This week against the Packers, the Lions are again behind 21-0, on the way to a loss that probably won't be as close as 13 points.
For the Packers, Aaron Rodgers 14 of 17 passes for 205 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. The Lions' defense is a bad joke.
And as for Millen? Yeah, he's still employed, and still running the franchise into the ground, and will be as long as William Clay Ford Sr. is alive. At least his team has found a new way of sucking. Get used to these 21-0 starts, Lions fans.

This is the year that Detroit gives up on the Lions. Hell, a furniture store had to buy 3,100 tickets to keep the game from being blacked out.
3 years ago it was anger with the Millen Man March. This year, it's apathy.

I've been watching the Lions for 30+ years now and am astounded that every time I think they've figured out all the possible ways to lose a game they come up with something incredibly original!
If the average American performed at their job as poorly as Matt Millen has handled the GM position, the unemployment rate would be 100%.
Here and now I renounce my loyalty to the Lions forevermore. As long as the Ford family owns this franchise, I refuse to watch another minute of Lions football. I'd rather read War and Peace than be subjected to even one more down of the ineptitude that has become the Detroit Lions.

I have figured out how to watch the Lions. I root for the Lions to lose, if they win I am pleasantly surprised. This way I always get enjoyment out of the game. I never get upset anymore.

"We're good, we just did'nt show up today" said Cory Redding. Good? Says who? 31st in total defense with a "tough, hard-nosed" defensive couch that wants to "keep pounding the rock"? Each and everyone on that team, from Ford down to the towel boy should be ashamed AND fired. I would have every day tackle drills until they made freakin tackles. Anyone that balked would be released right then and there, period! I would DEMAND accountibility and start at the top.

You have to look at the practicality of the situation w/the Lion organization. It's sort of like a politician really . . . Millen, Ford and the players will NEVER admit it's hopeless, because it's their ass on the line. Millen arguably belongs on 8 mile selling used Chevys, NOT running a professional sport's franchise(I say arguably because most would question whether this blatherskite Millen would be competent to even do that).
As for Ford, it's all about profit. He just got lucky in that the Lions are in Detroit and have(or had) one of the most loyal fan bases in the world. But the is all changing on him now, and mark my words, this is the ONLY thing(well, maybe) that will get this old cout to fire this oxygen thief known as Matt Millen.
I mean, come on, William Clay can't even run a car company, let alone a sports franchise. Maybe he should get Millen and Dave Dombrowski to sulk over to his office in Dearborn and formulate a plan for an alternate business so he can still retire in the lap of luxury . . . hey, I know . . . a nation wide corndog stand business!

The curse laid on the Lions by Bobby Layne in 1958 is in full effect! Truly prophetic; 50 yrs and counting ( see Wikipedia entry under heading Bobby Layne). My first Lion game was Thanksgiving day1951 vs the HATED Green Bay Packers. It was literally a gang fight " mud, blood and maybe some beer!
Now there is nothing left, just like the city this pathetic bunch of loosers represents. Better no team than Ford's clowns. Every time a football team screws up and beats themselves I accuse them of stealing the Lions playbook.

Kitna has to go! No one has more heart or knowledge but,
he just doesn't have the tools any longer.
Let's see Dan behind center. He played great during the
pre-season, and he's ready. Jon's time is up.
What is Merinelli's problem with Orvlovsky anyway?
Sick of this s..t!

I have been a Lions fan since I was a kid growing up in Detroit. Going to Tiger Stadium in the cold and snow, watching the Lions, Bears, Packers and Vikings slug it out. Now, I am ashamed to tell people that I am a Lions fan. If I ran my company as badly as the way Millen has run the Lions ( and for as long) I would be on the streets looking for my unemployement check. I don't wish anything bad for Millen, I just want William Clay to wake up. I know he is making money now, but just think how much more you would make Mr. Clay if the Lions would have a winning season!!!!
Get rid of Millen!!!!!!

willing to take the place of anyone who wises up and doesen't patronize them any longer.a perfect business .what other business do you know of that can supply a poor product and have people stand in line to buy it.i have been a fan for 45 years . i haven't spent a dime on them for at least the last 15.
