The great thing about athletes blogging is that we get an insider look at the world of a professional football player. Sometimes it's Marshawn Lynch's poetic side. Other times, it's Jim Zorn's playbook, which, I would imagine, most Redskins fans believed to be empty after that Week 1 debacle against the Giants.
Chris Cooley, naturally, is the jock that brings us said playbook ... along with a bunch of other "junk". And in picture form!
Two weeks ago we received our play-books and Zorn asked us if anyone had noticed "the edge" section. Nothing was placed under the edge tab, it was just a blank section. He went on to describe this was a section in the playbook especially for the individual. It was to put in non game-plan things from the week that would give us a special edge in the game.And man, did Cooley individualize his! Originally, he had a bunch of things that were designed to pump him up re: the Giants game. Clearly, that failed. So for the Saints game, he taped a bunch of pictures of his friends from a Redskins 2007 program and also a bunch of pictures of attractive women from a recent issue of GQ.
