This season, FanHouse writers take their cameras to NFL stadiums to document what happens when you stop being polite and start getting real. Or something. We've cleverly titled it "FanHouse in the Stands."
When I tell people that I had third row tickets to the Eagles home opener on Sunday at the Linc, they first question is always "how the [heck] did you score those?" Well, initially when the few tickets that don't belong to season ticket holders went on sale over the summer via Ticketmaster, I was actually lucky enough to secure two. Those weren't great seats and would have put me about four rows from the top of the stadium.
Despite not being in a prime location, I was still pumped to get a chance to see the Birds ring in a new season in South Philly. I then asked my dad if he wanted to go with me and he of course said he'd love to. But when I informed him of the seating location, he said, "Why don't you give me those tickets and let me see what I can do."
It's never a bad thing when Enrico Sr. says, "let me see what I can do."
Photos of some lovely Eagles Cheerleaders, fun fans, and a few of the action on the field after the jump.
I'd tell you how my dad transformed my two less-than-stellar Eagles tickets in to third row gems, but then I'd have to kill you. So just enjoy the view, as I did.
As you may or may not have seen, the Eagles owned yesterday. From the second play from scrimmage until the final whistle blew, the Birds dominated. The atmosphere at the Linc was not only rowdy but joyous. Gotta love happy Eagles fans.
This lovely lady was sitting next to us and was completely decked out in Eagles gear from head to toe. Even her earrings and bracelets had tiny little Eagles logos on them not to mention "Eagles" spelled out in sparkles across her cheek.

The vantage point from the third row around the ten yard line is pretty much perfect when the teams are playing on your side of the field. When the ball is in the opposite red zone, those giant televisions come in handy.

L.J. Smith right before he caught a TD:

Another benefit of sitting at the 10 yard line is the proximity to the Eagles Cheerleaders. Those girls were smiling at me the entire game. I'm pretty sure like four of them wanted me. Maybe I'm embellishing a little. It was probably closer to nine or ten.

If FanHouse were Deadspin, the answer would be: Yes x 7.

It's always a good day when Eagles fans stream out into their sea of green after a Birds' win. Notice the Philly skyline off into the distance past Citizens Bank Park (home of the Phillies).

Eagles win! High fives from all of the Linc employees!

Heather Mitts was honored during half time. She is a gold medal winning soccer player and girlfriend of Eagles third string QB A.J. Feeley. She's also extremely attractive.

For more video and photos: My good friend Matt captured some real nice video of the fly-over after the National Anthem. And I uploaded about 20 more shots to my Flickr page.
