Starting QB Injured in Chiefs-Pats, Brodie Croyle. Why, Who Were You Asking About?

In a development likely to frighten five, maybe six fantasy owners nationwide, starting Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle left the game today with what has been diagnosed as a separated shoulder according to the Kansas City Star. Croyle was 11 of 19 for 88 yards before he was replaced by Damon Huard who then put up such lofty numbers as 8 of 12 for 118, a touchdown and an interception. Woo.

While Croyle has yet to impress anyone in terms of production, his upside is considerably higher, and a lot of his limited play can be attributed to a playcalling scheme that could reasonably be characterized as "more depressing than Schindler's List without the stoic heroism." Losing Croyle impacts the team's rebuilding efforts. Even though Huard has more experience, he's already demonstrated a lack of tangible physical talent necessary to be the answer for the Chiefs at quarterback in the short or long term.

Clearly this is huge news, as everyone is talking about the quarterback that left with an injury in the Patriots 17-10 win over the Chiefs at Foxboro. Wait ... who is this "Brady" you speak of?
