Alrighty, people, it's go time.
The 2008 season kicks off tonight and the Washington Redskins are hoping to score more points before John McCain's speech than the previous two weeks combined. The New York Giants just signed Plaxico Burress to a shiny, new deal, and Jerome McDougle will be reprising the role of Osi Umenyiora. Oh, and in case you missed it: John Madden still can't quit Brett Favre.
Okay, we're gonna live-blog like it's 1999 -- Ocho Cinco for everybody!

you mean the refs who called a phantom personal foul on the giants on a facemask that never happened or the late hit on portis where he was never down and no whistle ever blew. Those refs?

how can the giants be satisfied with that game? the only thing satisfying offensively was brandon jacobs. the only thing that kept the giants from blowing it was the defense. how do you only score 16 pts against one of the weakest teams in the nfc? how do you not score AT ALL in the second half? yeah a win is a win, but eli is really out of shape still. he was nowhere near last year's performance. it's time to put that lucky superbowl behind them and worry about how to better execute the offense.
