Eight months after the Dallas Cowboys' playoff loss to the Giants, Terrell Owens thinks the team's offensive strategy led to the loss."I feel I made the most of the opportunities," Owens said. "It was just like when I played in the Super Bowl with the [Philadelphia] Eagles, I told the coach if I am on the football field to treat me as if I am 100 percent. I don't think they [were] considering what I did in the game. ... I felt like I could have done more."
Remember that Owens didn't play in the regular season finale against Washington due to a high ankle sprain. He did play in the playoff game against New York two weeks later, nabbing four catches (all in the first half).
However, he gained just 49 yards and the team didn't use him as the down-field threat he had been all season long. Maybe he was hobbled and the coaches didn't feel the opportunity was there. Maybe Owens could have delivered even if he was a bit injured (remember Super Bowl XXXIX?).
In the two regular season games between the two teams, Owens dominated. He caught for 212 yards and four TDs in those games ... both Dallas wins.

Ya know, when I read that ONE little hidden line in Owens' comments, I just knew the media would dive all over it like fatboys over a piece of pork chop.

Please don't tell me we are getting ready to hear his big mouth again this season! I cannot understand why he thinks the team always revolves around him. Please somebody, tell him there is no I in TEAM!

Does anyone really care what this clown thinks. Bottom line is Dallas lost and his only concern should be how can they get farther in the playoffs this year. The Cowboys are a good football team, not The Terrell Owens Show.
The only coach that new how to deal with Owens was Bill Parcells. He ignored him, like the rest of us should.

The only thing that plays harder than Owens on the field, is his mouth off the field. He has no respect for anyone but himself. He proved that with his spitting incident. If he cared half as much about his team as he does about himself, his hands would be full of rings. He is a misfit, on ateam of misfits, owned by misfits. Meaning no ring again this year.

I like TO and Chad Johnson as players but wouldn't want to coach either of them, because of things like this. But as an ex-Cowboy fan I hope he helps deystroy Jerry Jones empire. That is because I really dont appreciate Jerry Jones working against the new morality of the NFL. The NFL supplies heroes to our young american children.

hmmm...the reformed t.o. throwing someone besides himself under the bus...shocking. it's unreal, ive never seen a group a people so delusional and so willing to pass the buck in my life. the coach who thinks the better team loses, the owner who thinks spending money should guarantee him a trophy and a wide reciever who despite constantly asking for the ball hasnt achieved anything but a ton of stats. three very good to great teams who couldnt close the deal in the playoffs/superbowl who have nothing in common...except # 81. but im sure its just that all of the teams didnt utilize him well. not his habit of dropped passes in big spots. here they are folks...america's (crybaby/delusional/overhyped) team.

You Know, as much as I hate to say it, after watching the HBO series I have to reevaluate my opinion of Terrell Owens, I found him funny, articulate and with a keen sense of awareness. I am a Giants Fan for the last 39 years and except for the timing, I really do not have a disagreement with his comments.
In fact I myself thought that the Cowboy game plan did utilize him enough, but........I'm only a fan of the game, I also found that the Garrets ( several coach different positions on the team) were likable and very knowledgeable.
I will never root for the cowboys, but can respect what they are trying to do. I really believe that the influence of players like Whitten and others have helped T.O. mature.
Not for nothing, but given his background and all the adversities he has had to overcome, he should be celebrated, he is not a Felon, has not assaulted anyone ( like someone we know on the Panthers). Sure his comments maybe over the top sometimes, but..........is that really such a travesty?
Keep it real! Go Giants
Oh yeah and it seems to me that Randy Moss if not as or more talented as T.O. had several incidents of assholia too, but now everyone wants to canonize him.
I have not seen one article about T.O. in the last few years that is fair and objective, written with balance, cause let's face it folks the only that matters is sensationism, not reality

That's the most intelligent thing I've ever read on this blog. It's really not about what he says, it's all about the fact that it's him saying it. If Marvin Harrison spoke those same words, we would all agree. I mean look at what Brett Favre has said about the Packers, he's thrown the WHOLE ORGANIZATION under the bus, and we still "love" him and wish him well. In fact, we were all mad at Green Bay!!
It's not against the law to talk about your opinions!! Chad Johnson just spent months complaining and no one talked about how he was a cancer to his team...even though he was trying to get traded!! The Cardinals receiver is going through the same thing right now...Plaxico is still negotiating his contract with New York...perhaps its a wide receiver/diva thing...just let him talk, he's hurting no one!!

T.O. dominates the field. I don't know why the press gotta come down on him all the time. I ran across a new video he did with Three 6 Mafia. T.O. is real chill - just talking bout rap and football and girls. you gotta see the video - DJ Paul and Juicy J are hilarious: http://tinyurl.com/6qt4ra
