Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie is likely to face discipline for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy in connection with a nightclub fight in February. But both McKinnie and the NFL say there's no truth to a Sirius Radio report that he will be suspended for the first four games of the 2008 season. Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune reports that McKinnie said "I don't know about that" as he was walking off the practice field today, and an NFL spokesman said no determination had been made on the discipline McKinnie faces.
It's important to note that neither McKinnie nor the NFL denies that McKinnie will be suspended for four games -- they just say a determination hasn't yet been made. My guess is that McKinnie will be suspended for at least a couple of games, and that Tarvaris Jackson will have a rough go of it without his left tackle.
