Pacman Jones Will Send Roger Goodell Reinstatement Letter Thursday

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones is participating in training camp and the preseason, even though he's technically still suspended by the NFL: Shortly after Jones was traded from Tennessee to Dallas, Commissioner Roger Goodell told him he could spend the summer with the team, but that didn't mean his suspension -- which began in April of 2007 -- was over.

But it could be over very soon. Jones says he's written a letter in which he asks to be reinstated, and he will send the letter to Goodell tomorrow. Assuming the letter doesn't say anything along the lines of, "I look forward to making it rain this season," Goodell is expected to reinstate Jones.

And then, finally, for the first time since December of 2006, Jones will be back in the NFL. Jones has played just 28 games in two seasons in his career, and he has a lot of work to do, but I'm looking forward to being able to see Jones play ball -- and to write about what he does on the field for a change.
