An 83-year-old man shot and killed his 62-year-old stepson in a dispute that centered on Friday night's Pittsburgh Steelers' preseason game, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting.
According to the report, 83-year-old John A. Latimer shot and killed 62-year-old Roy C. Wright Friday night after Wright borrowed Latimer's car to drive himself and his daughters to the Steelers preseason game. But Wright decided not to go to the game and ended up just dropping his daughters off.
At that point the daughters called Latimer, their grandfather, to complain that they were now stuck at the game alone. When Wright got home and Latimer confronted him, an argument broke out that ended with Latimer shooting Wright.
Latimer is charged with homicide and is being held without bond.

steeler fans...
Important fix! It was Wright, not Latimer (as stated in the article) who decided not to go and dropped off the girls.
Here's the last paragraph from the original article. It seems to me Steelers game was just the last straw between Wright & Latimer.
Mr. Latimer told police he retrieved a .32 caliber revolver from his upstairs bedroom and returned downstairs. Mr. Wright began walking upstairs but turned around and headed for Mr. Latimer, threatening to kill everybody, according to the affidavit. Mr. Latimer told police he shot Mr. Wright once after the victim said, "You better shoot me or I'm gonna kill you."
Very Sad!!!
