After being out of work for just one day, Chad Pennington has signed with the Miami Dolphins.
Pennington, who spent the last eight years with the Jets, lost his job when Brett Favre came to town. But he's now heading south to Miami, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting. (Via PFT.)
The move reunites Pennington with the man who drafted him in New York, Dolphins front office boss Bill Parcells. It also gives Pennington a chance to get revenge on his old team in Week 1, when the Jets play at Miami.
Will Pennington be the Dolphins' starter that day? Although he has a lot of work to do to get up to speed, I would bet on it. The Dolphins' other quarterbacks -- Josh McCown, John Beck and rookie Chad Henne -- lack Pennington's precision as a passer. My guess is that Pennington will start and McCown will get cut.

Good for Chad. He got a raw deal from the Jets. I hope that he beats them twice this year!

Now the marquee match up for football fans will be the Jets vs. Dolphins match up since it feature a Hall Of Fame quarterback Brett Favre versus the quarterback he replaced in New York. Chad will do well in Miami since the Bill Parcells style of football requires the quarterback to take care of the football and let the defense win games.

Unlike the NY Jets, Chad is a class act. I may live in NY, but I am now a Dolphins fan. I hope Miami wipes the floor with the Jets this season. Go Chad!

If the Dolphpins provide a decent offensive line, Pennington will lead them to the playoffs. If not, Chad Pennington will not last the season.O-Line, Tuna, O-Line.

All the crap talk about Pennington is NY media garbage. The deal is any one with an injured arm is weak. Ask Randy Moss who played with Chad at Marshall about the 45-50 yarders this duo shared. Ask Laverneus Coles with NY about Chads healthy arm. His injuries at NY he endured due to weak Pass/ QB protection...duh. Oh and he was NFL comeback kid in 2006. 2007 he played on an injured ankle, stretched tendons that the NY press never reported, thats why Kelly. At 100%, Chad has the leadership demeanor of P.Manning, if the Dolph's can protect him, watch this guy with the weak arm blister many opponents. So happy he is out of NY. Go Dolphins, good waters ahead with a very dedicated, passionate skipper in Captain Pennington.
