The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with their quarterback of the future, Joe Flacco. The Delaware QB reportedly agreed to a five-year deal worth over $30 million.
"The most important part of this contract is that it is done before July 21st," [Flacco's agent Joe] Linta said. "They're excited, Joe's excited, I'm excited. I don't know anybody that is not excited."
That's a lot of excitement!
Flacco's signing is big because it gives him a clean look at Baltimore's starting quarterback gig. All he has to do is beat out Kyle Boller and Troy Smith, which isn't the most difficult of tasks. The prospect of that happening is good since he will have the same opportunities the other two have with a full training camp to impress the coaching staff.
They need something. Over the past six seasons, they've been in the bottom third in passing offense in five of those years.
