Brett Favre appeared on Fox News Channel Monday night to explain to Greta Van Susteren why he is having second thoughts about retirement:
Favre said that the Packers' front office is trying to keep him from ending his four-month retirement and returning to the NFL.
"I was told that playing in Green Bay was not an option," Favre said. "Then I was told, 'We can't imagine, or can't envision, you playing for another team, as well.' What does that tell me? It tells me, 'We don't want you to play, period.'"
The second part of the interview is after the jump.

So Favre is guilty of retiring early early??? Yeah......and how many times is he going to retire early??? We still may have to deal with this "dog & pony show" a few more years.
I am not a Packer fan but I commend management for going above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate this guy during the past few years. And just because last year was a great year for him, it has no bearing on any future year. For all we know, last season might just have been an exception as his skills begin to diminish with age. You can only throw into triple coverage so many times......HA!
To tell you the truth, (and I really like this guy) I hope he comes back with some team and get's his ass kicked every Sunday. He'll never end his career as well as last season ended. What a selfish, me-first, egotistical prima donna he is turning out to be. It's a shame to see such a great NFL Hall of Fame player wallow in the mud of self destruction at the end of his career.
Brett.......don't go away mad. You were great! Just go away..........

I couldn't agree more, just retire. If you agree join this campaign urging him to take up Golf and leave Football behind: https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/stay-retired-brett-favre

Brett Favre is a douchebag to end all douchebags. That dopey aw-shucks, just-love-to-play persona has leaped over the line separating it from ironic coolness and is now terribly annoying. He's selfish and preening. It's all about the Brett.
Many athletes have had issues with retiring. Some have even come out of retirement because they loved to play so much (or needed the money). But their teams were never obligated to acquiesce to their every whim, as Favre seems to want. No, they're not gonna just let him go - he said he was gonna retire. No, he's not gonna start - he said he was gonna retire, so Rodgers is in charge.
