Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry made an estimated $2.5 million in his three seasons with the team. But he's now unemployed, and his lawyer says he's gone through every last penny of that $2.5 million -- to the point where he needs the taxpayers to aid in his legal defense in the assault charges he's currently facing:"He's broke," said Perry Ancona, the former player's attorney. "He doesn't have any money to pay to pay for a transcript. ...Henry's home has been foreclosed on and his car has been repossessed, and he's unlikely to find work again in the NFL. I would like to think that most people who threw away $2.5 million by their 25th birthdays would learn a lesson about living responsibly, but most people are not Chris Henry.
"He has no funds whatsoever and can't even meet his current obligations."

Chris, your "friends" aren't helping you out?
You know, all those people who helped drink your liquor?
Unemployment benefits?
Pretend to be a gas pump?
Pathetic.

stupid boy! he thought he was a CASH MONEY MILLIONARE. His average income was around 800,300 a year and all he had to do is play. It's his own fault he's in this mess, people like me would love security like that & did things irresponsiblally. He's either retarded no offense or living 4 15 minutes of fame,he'll be forgotten.

It's too bad when these young men and women receive HUGE amounts of money to play a sand lot or grass field game and not the ability to plan for a time when they can't or don't play any more. Some of us have lived on less per year for what he received for one game. (Even some get less for what he got for one quarter of playing a gamae). Welcome to REALITY ! )

Right. And most of you believe that because Vick is filing for bankruptcy, he is broke as well? Not likely that either one is hat in hand. Poor people being happy that someone rich may be in their spot... sad for you. If you think Henry won't be playing football again you don't understand the world today. Good luck

We're not poor people happy because he is poor. He is an idiot arrogant criminal thug that got what he deserved. Everyone is just pointing that out and not feeling sorry for him because he thought he was above the law.
