Maybe Brett Favre isn't retired after all.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Favre has told Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy that he has thought about playing this year. Although Favre's comeback talk is apparently in its preliminary stages, Mortensen also reports that Favre's family is encouraging him to play.
Packers cornerback Al Harris appeared with Mortensen on ESPN's NFL Live this afternoon and said that Favre has told him that he "has the itch" to keep playing.
Favre tearfully announced his retirement this off-season, and almost immediately afterward there were rumors that he'd be back.

I say welcome him back......I have no problem with this. As for Rogers....well he's been waiting 3 years he can wait more. Not like he's the first to sit on the bench like other back up QB's.....I don't feel sorry for Aaron Rogers at all. Besides what would you want starting QB ..A NFL Great QB....or a QB that might be good.....come on back Brett ....let's get that Superbowl ring that shoulda happened last year

Brett - Only come back if your going to kick ass. Coaches - Put in Rogers every time Farve starts to throw to the wrong team. I cant stand that. Farve is the bomb but aahhh whip it to the right team.

Brett you made the right move in retiring and being health to spend time with your family. I think you'd be a great coach or owner of NFL team. You were a great QB, nows a time to be a even greater father to your girls, and husband to Deanna.

Last season was his best in 5 years. I hope he does come back and finish with a Super Bowl loss to the Patriots as should have happened last year if not for the Giants pulling a trash bag full of lucky rabbits feet, horseshoes, and four leaf clovers out of their ass.

Yes, Thank God, Brett great decision, welcome welcome welcome back. Ted Thompson If you don't spend every penny us owners have to get him the very best protection around and the best receivers money can buy you should be fired and never set foot in Wisconsin again.

I think Farve is a jerk. You retired. You must have thought it over before you made the decision. You must have talked it over with your family. Quit dropping hints about "maybe" coming back. If you quit, you quit. Go home and coach your kids, or talk to your wife. Why should Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the team have to play your game of "maybe." They need to plan their season. Have some respect!!!!

wahh wahh not fair to Aaron rogers.....pffffff..who cares..... Favre is a star....Rogers is just the next wannabe good QB .. and he needs to deal with that he will never match up to what Favre has done..So all these people whining that Favre can't make up his mind....it's usually the haters that make a stink out of it. Do you hear them caring about no namers retireing and wanting to come back ....noooo....I wonder if they boooo Micheal Jordan not to comeback when he wanted to....probaly not.....you Packer fans just don't know how good you had it over the last 16 years...yeah remember Before Favre...ahhh yeah 4-12 seasons every year
