Good news: not only does Plaxico Burress plan to be at Giants training camp, he actually thinks he'll do more than watch. Okay, he didn't make any promises about actually practicing (the "work one day a week" philosophy was pretty successful last season), but he does think that he and the organization can come to terms on a contract extension. "Honestly, I think my situation is going to be rectified before training camp," Burress told WIP host Ike Reese, according to NJ.com. "I'm not going to worry about it, but I did state that I was unhappy with my current situation with my contract. It'll be worked out."Shaun O'Hara's response: I'm still going to kick his ass when I see him again. O'Hara didn't really say that, although he wasn't all that jazzed about Burress sitting out mandatory minicamp last week to protest his current contract.
Burress, who signed with the Giants prior to the 2005 season, feels he's now worth more than the six-year, $25 million deal his inked three years ago. When Javon Walker is pulling down six years, $55 million, he might have a point.
The New York Post writes that general manager Jerry Reese, when not getting yelled at by Jeremy Shockey, asked Burress if he wanted to stay in New York.
"I don't want to go anywhere. I made that very evident," Burress said. "If I wanted to go somewhere else or if I didn't want to be there, I would have let that be known, too.
Translation: "I like New York ... and I'll love it if you give me a new deal. Oh, and, yeah, let's win another championship!"

Burress is a lazy F**K. He's not even great, he's medeocre. The only reason he made the catch in the Super Bowl is because the CB-FS didn't make their coverage. - Why do you think he was so wide open? It's not like he has blazing speed.
Someone should inform Burress that wearing his hat that way went out of style years ago and that only 12 year old kids wear their hat that way.

#4...The Giants never would have made it to the Super Bowl without him. In addition to delivering when injured, he pulled in a lot of poorly thrown passes, and stretched the defenses, making the other parts of the offensive game plan more effective.
The only bad thing about paying him is the portion that his sleazebag agent will receive.

This is going to be the worst season yet for the Giants after appearing in the superbowl. The greed of the players is going to doom this team to about 3 or 4 wins. Unlike the teams that build dynasties these Giants figure they were lucky to win last year and are going to try and get their money now, regardless of what it does to the future of the team.

Yeah he is also the guy who gives up on plays too. Do you remember? He maybe have made some, and i mean some, poorly caught passes, but the guy has hands of stone. This was another reason why the Steelers didn't think much of him and didn't want to pay him.

Plaxico Burress, his book is scheduled to hit the street in July. Did anyone verify the information in the book. Has anyone checked with the people who know the real facts not just those worthy of publication for entertainment. The truth is something money seems to omit.
