Heading into the draft, the Cowboys' offense is in pretty good shape. They have their franchise quarterback, the offensive line is solid, and Terrell Owens and Jason Witten aren't bad guys to have running pass patterns.
But when talking about the wide receivers, there is the little issue of age. T.O. is 34 and Terry Glenn is 33 and coming off an injury that kept him out of all but one regular-season game last season. Which is why the team could target wide receiver with one of their two first-round picks, or, as has been rumored just about every day of the off-season, make a deal for one of the wideouts currently in the league.
There was some speculation that D.J. Hackett could be that guy, but he signed with the Panthers earlier today. And even though the free agent pond has dried up, there's still a big fish out there. From Hashmarks' Matt Mosley:
...[I]t wouldn't surprise me if [agent Drew] Rosenhaus instructs [Anquan] Boldin to hold out at some point. Boldin's not a selfish person, but he's not going to give the Cardinals a free ride.Of course, there's the question if owner Jerry Jones will be willing to part with whatever it takes to get Boldin. And let's be honest, it's going to be a lot or this wouldn't be an issue in the first place. (Oh, wait, it's not an issue ... not yet, anyway. But when it does become an issue...)
According to sources close to Hashmarks, the Cowboys spent some time talking about Boldin last week at Valley Ranch. It wouldn't surprise me if they reached out to the Cardinals at some point. Dallas needs someone other than Patrick Crayton to play opposite of Terrell Owens, and Boldin would certainly be worth a No. 1 pick. I'm not saying this is going to happen, but it's something you should keep an eye on.
Boldin would obviously be a nice fit in Dallas; he's similar to Owens in that's he's a big, strong target, but with better hands. If Jones is going go all Saints-and-Ricky Williams on a player, I think acquiring Boldin makes more sense than giving up the farm for Darren McFadden. Another unsubstantiated rumor that's fun to discuss as if it's true.

You have to be the funniest blogger on this site. I think you seriously believe that every player in the league wants to be one of Jerry's kids.
"Boldin would obviously be a nice fit in Dallas"
Uh, not really. He's not a punk or a criminal. Those types of players are the only nice fits for Arlington's team.

Um, according to you Ryan the Cowboys are willing and able to sign everyone in the Universe and apparently can do so without violating the cap. So far Jerry has been interested in Pacman Jones, Randy Moss, Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald and DeAngelo Hall. As I expected none of these rumors went anywhere.

Well Biget Sam, Where are the criminals in the Cowboys??? It seem you are still in the 90's. WAKE UP!!!! We are in a new time and a new team.
Now the point; Boldin would be nice to have as a target for Romo,But I don't think it will happen. Arizona is finally becoming a fair team and I don't think they will let him slip away.

Yeah, that Tank Williams is truly an upstanding citizen.
"but haters that are jealous of the 5 Superbowls continue to hate."
Try to let go of the ancient past. Your team hasn't won a playoff game in 12 years.

I sure hope Big Sam's team has a bunch of saints on it, because I can almost guarantee his has more lawbreakers on it than Dallas.
