It seems ridiculous that this story has dragged into late February, but the reports that the Oakland Raiders and head coach Lane Kiffin could part ways still aren't going away.The San Jose Mercury-News ran a column Tuesday headlined, "Kiffin's time with Raiders might be up." Peter King of Sports Illustrated wrote Monday, "I say it's no better than 50-50 that he'll coach Oakland this fall."
Reports out of Oakland indicate that Kiffin isn't even on speaking terms with either owner Al Davis or defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. Kiffin wanted to fire Ryan after the season and was told by Davis that he couldn't, Davis reportedly asked Kiffin to resign and was told that he wouldn't.
Where is all this going? My money is on Kiffin coaching the Raiders in September. But the Raiders have been such a mess of a franchise in recent years that it wouldn't surprise me at all if Davis fired Kiffin now, or in April, or in July.

Mr.Davis is LEGEND! He will and has done best for RAIDERS! He is THE RAIDERS! Not only is he a great football mind but has business sense, so if this situation is not business smart then expect Coach Kiffen back. VIVA RAIDERS!!

Mr.Davis has always brought us(fans) the best product on the field throughout the years and has surrounded himself with people who will continue to do the best for us.

This is not an insult, but I've always wondered why Raider fans don't despise granny Davis. He took the team out of Oakland, then ditched L.A. He punked you! Twice! Oakland and L.A. should be fed up with his act by now.
I can assure you that if/when Alex Spanos takes the Chargers out of San Diego, most of us won't be cheering for him.
Keep Kiffin, dump Granny.
