This video from 1992 is just odd on so many levels:
First, there's seeing O.J. Simpson as a studio analyst. Then there's Bob Costas telling the viewers at home that Brett Favre is a "second-year man from Southern Mississippi," and explaining the correct pronunciation of his last name, because viewers wouldn't have known who he was.
There's also the fact that Jim Lampley is the play-by-play man during the game, the fact that Favre has a much thicker Southern accent than he does now, and the fact that the TV analysts are talking about the Packers losing Don Majkowski and having to replace him with Favre like it's a going to be bad news in Green Bay.
But my favorite part is when Simpson starts talking about how he played against Mike Holmgren in high school. Who knew?

It sure seemed to me that when Buddy Ryan and O.J. Simpson talked about the play (especially the problem faced by the safety), their comments were a whole lot more insightful than what you generally hear these days.

Martin- I had the exact same reaction. The oddest part of the clip was hearing the studio analysts actually analyze the game. Imagine that.

Why on earth are you guys giving any "air time" to that murdering SOB in the first place. All media industries, including yours, should be "blackballing" this guy from getting mentioned, interviewed or anything else for that matter. Don't you guys understand that's what he wants and thats what he likes to see & hear. He murdered two innocent people and you're digging out archives which he thrives on. IGNORE HIM!! HE DOESN'T DESERVE ANYONE'S ATTENTION!!

He was proven innocent.
God is his next judge not me. If want to judge him go ahead, leave us alone.

just for clarity's sake --- he was NOT PROVEN BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT to be guilty --- which is a quantum leap away from being PROVEN INNOCENT --- and if the prosecutors had been even minimally competent, then the word NOT could be removed from that first sentence, and justice would have been done

This video brings back memories. I'm too young to have seen OJ when he played football, but growing up I used to watch him on NBC when they brought football games. He seemed very charismatic and likeable. He had a very lucrative career and probably still would have. I was shocked when I heard in 1994 that he was being investigated for murder. He escaped a guilty verdict, but still can't seem to stay out of trouble. Sad story.

OJ was "not guilty" in the criminal trials, which is far from "innocent".

OJ was proven innocent in the criminal trial and guilty in the civil suit trial. Judge ITO should be tried in not allowing objections to be entered during the whole trial. Wonder how much he was paid for that. The whole trial was a mistake and paved the way for future cases to be a joke. Look at Bill Clinton in his impeachment trial with perjury and acquittal as well as Blake and his murderous ways. The judicial system is a joke today and whoever has money wins. They should take that scale of justice and melt it down!!!

let it go people. if you have definite proof that OJ killed those two people, then you should have provided the prosecution with your evidence. other than that, you are speculating just like everyone else. which means SQUAT!

O. J. SIMPSON WAS, IN FACT, PROVEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE KILLING OF HIS EX-WIFE AND HER FRIEND, RON GOLDMAN. THIS CONCLUSION WAS REACHED IN A CIVIL TRIAL INITIATED BY THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS.
