Hatin' the Patriots: Bill Belichick is Rotten and Devoid of Moral Fiber

Those who deny the Patriots cheated ... well, they should be told they're wrong. The Patriots were caught. They were punished.

And cheating is bad. There's no doubt about that. If you choose to hate the Patriots because they broke the rules in order to win ... well, I can't argue with you. Bonus points if you have kids.

But they certainly aren't the only ones to film other team's signals. That's not even to mention the massive use of steroids, the tampering, the holding and various other "unsavory" acts that linemen commit to get an advantage in the trenches. That's all cheating too. It's everywhere. So, yeah, it's great that you, like Don Shula, have such conviction. But if Spygate bothers you that much, the NFL isn't really the place for you.

Judgment: You are an In-Denial Patriots Hater.

Pull your head out of the sand. In this world, the question isn't whether someone cheats or not, just whether they cheat appreciably more than the next guy. And if the Patriots have been uninspired in any way this season, it's been in their mediocre attempts at cheating.

I think Bill and the Patriots will always be remembered as to what they are CHEATERS and the owner goes along with and pays for all underhanded things Bill does, a fine wasn't enough, should of been throwed out. Cheaters,cheaters, cheaters,forever in HISTORY !!! Poor Tom he's a good quarterback working for Bad Bosses !!!!!!

So the author thinks it is okay to cheat and have no consequence?? No cheater should be able to enter the playoffs in the same season they get caught cheating. I would say the same if it was my beloved Steelers. The pats hould have been suspended like they do in college when caught cheating. GO GIANTS!

THE NEW ENGLAND CHEATERS should have been thrown out of the league for a year! What a shame the writer of this article thinks its ok to blatently cheat and show poor sportsmanship. If it were my Steelers doing this I would feel the same way. And yes, Cheaters shouldnt win, ever. GO GIANTS KICK SOME MAJOR CHEATING PATS BUTT!

Even if they win they should be stripped of a perfect season for cheating. If it was a Buffalo team it would have happened that way already. The need the Asteric next to them this year like some Baseball players. Cheats should get ejected and the next best team played from there.

is the author seriously trying to sway us into feeling sorry for the pats? are you serious? cheating is never ok.....even if people do or dont get caught its still majorly wrong.....theres no reason for it......the pats are DESPERATE

If this had been a NCAA team, they would have had to forfeit all wins that Season, fined, lost a chance at any Bowl game, and been sanctioned for the next 5-10 years...But because it is Professional Sports, it is OK for them to cheat. Sad, very Sad.

It's not just that he's a cheater, he has poor sportsmanship worked out to the nth degree. I think it's just too damn bad he didn't lose more key players to injuries while running up 40 point margins.

Paul Thompson... your a moron!! The Pats are CHEATERS and it upsets me that you or anyone else will consider a team and a coach that has no moral values to even be considered as the best team ever. C'mon!!! They should have been suspended and denied the opportunity to go to the Superbowl or even the Playoffs. The NFL is obviously tolerating this type of behavior and it upsets me. What next?....smoke weed on the sidelines? They call steroid use cheating to an extent but what the Pats did is okay. The Patriots are a product of this selfish and greedy world. I would be embarrassed if I were a Pats fan!

The Patriot organization are the model of dedication and excellence, and they just drive you crazy because only such a team can have this much success year after year in a league structured for parity. ..I mean c'mon ...Randy Moss for a 4th round pick? ..Why do you think that happened? ...PATRIOT'S RULE BECAUSE THEY THE BEST "TEAM" in the history of the NFL!!!

I'm glad I am an in-denial Patriots hater. The day I accept that cheating should be rewarded is the day I have given up any moral values I hold. And you are right, if I have an objection to cheating the NFL probably is not the place for me! As a former Cleveland resident and Browns fan I gave up on the NFL when they allowed one of the most storied franchises in NFL history to move out of town. The only reason I pay attention to the NFL now is that my husband is a huge GIANTS fan. Go GIANTS and shame on the NFL. It's about on a par with the WWE now.
