With Jeremy Shockey sitting on the bench, New York needed an emotional lift in the worst way. And after falling behind 14-0, veteran wide receiver Amani Toomer decided to step up and give them exactly that. In what was probably the most clutch performance of his career (that's saying a lot), Toomer hauled in five of Eli Manning's seven completions for 99 yards. And of the five receptions, three of them kept extremely important drives going.
In addition to Toomer's monster game, running backs Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw each set personal milestones. Jacobs had a career best day with 145 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while Bradshaw racked up 151 yards and a touchdown. And for Bradshaw, he may have secured himself a significant position on this team heading into the playoffs -- not to mention, a long-term deal.
For Buffalo, they went out the window with the wind. As expected, the team came out on fire after an emotional chat with Kevin Everett prior to kickoff, but were unable to maintain that intensity for four quarters. And Trent Edwards three fourth quarter interceptions certainly didn't help.
The Giants now move to 10-5 and can afford to rest everyone on Saturday night against the New England Patriots. Meanwhile, the Bills fall to 7-8 and aim to end the season on a high note against the Philadelphia Eagles.

I actually was hoping that NY lost this game and the next. I am so tired of mediocorcy. I sat and looked at the gamecast when the Giants tried maybe 4-5 times to run it in from the 1 yd line..why in Gods name would you use Droughns and not Jacobs?? I sat there with my head buried in my hands....seeing Coughlin in my mind...pacing back and forth....fkin this and fking that....yelling stupid sht at the offense...just seeing Droughns in there almost made me sick...HELLO..JACOBS...This is the same bllsht like last yr at Tenn...leading 21-3...starting the second half throwing downfield instead of pounding the ball with a 18 point lead....My point is that maybe they got in the playoffs, but they will get out just as fast. This team needs tweaking badly....they actually got some lucky breaks today, but that won't continue...we are tired of the 20-21 pick every year..back in the middle of the road...we stand...every year...we are tired.

Yesterday's game was great fun for a true Giants fan. Wicked weather, momentum swings and great plays on offense and defense made for a special afternoon of entertainment. I find it surprising that some fans would accentuate negative aspects and dwell on team deficiencies. This has been a great season! Overcoming many injuries, finding ways to win without the all-stars that other teams have. Let's look at the positives....the G-men have already won two more games than last season....they won (not backed) their way into the playoffs....they are tied for the 6th best record in the league.....they have some young players that show real promise and have done well when pressed into starting roles. The team has shown real progress this season no matter how they do in the playoffs. Let's be happy!

I agree with everything you said. What the Giants have done with all the injuries to key players is incredible. Burress, Shockey, Jacobs, Ward, Pierce, Kiwanuka and both safeties have all either played hurt or missed time this season. To go 10-5 under those circumstances is amazing. I look forward to beating the Bucs in the nice weather.

john,
you mean to tell me that if i offered you a giants record at the beginning of this season that had 10 wins, you would have turned it down?? off season and pre season brought expectations for this team to be in LAST place in NFC East. sure they may not be a dominating, stuff it down your throat 10 win team, but they stick together, they play with pride and balls. theyt dont listen to guys like you who think you can coach better than the pros. sorry dude, thats just the way it is.... go big blue
